  1. Humor me and explain what was done so wrong and what would you have done? I'm dying to know.
  2. No he isn't. Thank goodness. He has a pipeline full of talent. Let them develop.
  3. Because he let in a goal?
  4. No magic. Just don't try to clear a puck straight at your opponent.
  5. 1-1 after 1. Slaggert (who?) with the Amerks goal.
  6. Never mind, you can rewind AHL TV. Fluke goal but Levi could have played it better.
  7. I missed the goal. What did it look like?
  8. SAVOIE CALLED UP TO THE AMERKS!! (Sorry, it's NICK Savoie, a defenseman, called up from JAX.)
  9. Amerks @Belleville tonight at 7pm. Levi will play either tonight or Saturday. https://www.amerks.com/news/detail/game-preview-amerks-open-december-tonight-in-belleville
  10. Power turnover ---> goal.
  11. Who flipped the turbo switch on?
  12. Cozens still isn't right.
  13. You can just see how good Benson is
  14. You know what else matters? Limiting your opponent's possession in your end.
  15. What's so questionable? He was screened. Shouldn't have even been a face off in our end.
  16. He'll turn it over if you pressure him. I expect more.
  17. People ask "why are you so down on Powers?" Crap like that is why. That goal is off his turnover.
  18. Don't stop playing. It all turns the s### if you do. I had to get a stent put in after nearly passing out in a game. Once the fake knees went in I was done. Any hope I had of a miracle comeback faded when I was told I'd be on blood thinners the rest of the way due to aFib. Pickleball at least gets me active again.
  19. It's only sleep. I wouldn't be able to knowing he Sabres were playing anyway.
  20. But I bet you feel pretty good after playing 90 minutes.
  21. Anything is possible. Kane might have asked for nights off when Taylor Swift is performing. No way to know. But most aging players want to get one last big payday. Considering his surgery it's hard for me to fathom him turning down a multi-year deal. What's the longest any NHL player played after a hip resurfacing surgery? Ed Jovanovski is the record holder at 36 games.
  22. What about the Eichel trade?
  23. Sorry to hear that but I can see that happening. We're lucky here in NH. Most public parks have added pickleball lines to their tennis courts and between the Y's, rec centers and some schools, there a good amount of indoor courts. This site is good for finding games: https://www.places2play.org/
  24. Since I had to give up playing goal because of 1) heart issues 2) knee replacements 3) age, I started playing pickleball at the gym at our town hall. My wife suggested we go last February. She played a couple times and lost interest. Meanwhile I really took to it. I picked it up quickly since I play 4-6 times a week. I've gotten fairly competent. There is a rating scale called DUPR. I have never been officially scored but I'm guessing I'm just over 3.0. I play with some strategy, my serves can be tricky and I can put a nasty spin on a drop shot. I find that pickleball scratches the competitive itch hockey used to. It improved my heart function. It's a great work out without feeling like you're working out. Of course I upgraded my paddle twice, but I haven't crossed the $100 price point. (I bought a used $179 MSRP paddle for $50. It had a small split in the edging. I wrote the company asking how to fix it and they just sent me a new one!) Whenever I travel, to Buffalo or Maryland, and in February to Vegas, I always look up where there's a game I can join. Anyone else here play?
