Pretty much every sports site publishes weekly power rankings that bear a remarkable resemblance to the league standings that week. But shouldn't a power ranking tell you what team is hot, or not, that week alone? So let's put our minds together and create a SabreSpace Power Rank. The difference is only the last 10 games played will be considered. That means teams like Montreal or Arizona might be in the Top 10 one week while the Vegas Golden Knights could be in the bottom 10, all based on their last 10 games played. And where can we easily access those numbers? My question is what metrics should be used? Ideally this ranking will be strictly metric-based. No opinions. No popularity contest. Obviously wins, goals scored, goals against are the obvious ones. What are some other ones you'd include?

Anderson: respected his wishes to move to only certain teams. Still happy to stay. AHL roster: Krebs, Muel and Fitz sent down (on paper) to become playoff eligible.

Losing 27.8 points means we were a playoff team. I don't see that. I'll give you 8-10 points tops, mostly from missing Anderson.
