  1. Believe it or not I'm more excited by what the Sabres could do than the Bills. I want to see them respond to the disrespect. I want other teams to hate playing us.
  2. That is the very definition of what PSLs are.
  3. I don't begrudge him wanting out. I do wish he didn't make it harder.
  4. The current front office and coaching staff were not here for most of the last ten years. At what point can we move on and climb out? The Bills had a 17 year playoff drought and most fans were certain the hiring of McDermott and Beane would not bring an end to that streak.
  5. You said, quote, "Tell me I'm wrong." I thought that was what I was doing. Sorry. If you are going to make a statement like that, expect to be challenged.
  6. Fish & Co were relieved from their roles for going down that path. But here we are, on that same road again? If so it's out or frustration on Jack's part. They have to keep shaming Adams and the Sabres, even if what they are accusing him of doing isn't true. But I guess getting journalists to do your dirty work is pretty easy. Most reporters rely on agents for scoops. They will gladly do a Pat Brisson a solid for a future exclusive. After all he has a superstar roster of clients. Even Vogl at The Athletic, who I mistakenly thought had some scruples. I was wrong.
  7. Oh, this post? Whatever respect he deserves for not caving to a bad offer, is voided by his inability to find a way to make a deal happen. You're assuming he is the reason why no deal had happened, without knowing what if anything was offered. He seems to have left himself no escape hatch in order to rehabilitate Jack’s value. This is your opinion. The Sabres do not need an escape hatch. They hold Jack's rights for 5 more seasons. Medical compromise seems off the table. What does medical compromise mean here? It's one surgery or another. There's no compromise. He hasn’t been able to make a creative deal involving conditionals or salary dumps materialize. It takes two to tango. I suspect if Adams took whatever was offered, you would certainly take issue with such a meager return. And he’s boxed himself out of allowing Jack a dignified road back to the team by allowing things to get personal. Again, your opinion that Jack would come back and that Adams made it personal. Oh and nice embellishment describing it as "boxed in a corner." Whatever breaks the logjam is going to come months after it could have, too late to help Granato and the kids execute this seasons plan. That's true. He’s done a good job of making Jack the bad guy, I think Jack did that to himself without help. but in the process he’s allowed things to get to this point and he’s failed to execute his job: making the team better. Once again, opinion. You also ignore Jack and his old agents' role in poisoning the well. I don't think Adams "allowed" anything. He held his ground and maintained silence. No doubt you found that incredibly frustrating. Tell me I’m wrong. Do I have to state the obvious?
  8. I need to understand what exactly you're criticizing Adams for here. Something concrete that happened or an imagined scenario? Or just the sins of prior administrations?
  9. Like a stale fart.
  10. Agents don't like to give back money.
  11. Agents don't like giving up money.
  12. So Nick, how many of these teams will allow ADR surgery?
  13. And I'd bet this is exactly what the Sabres secretly want. For Jack to take the gamble on himself and Dr. Prusmack. People keep asking how does this resolve itself? This is how.
  14. And Vogl would be wrong here. Jack is free to get any surgery he wants. All he has to do risk the remainder of his contract. The Sabres are not obligated to guarantee Jack's future earnings. Furthermore, the last thing the NHL needs is one of it's own ignoring the CBA because once they do it, precedent is set and it obliterates that clause for every team.
  15. Let's wait until Granato works with Tage before declaring him a complete bust, shall we?
  16. Except if doing so negates the Sabres rights to him. It would be rash to do that if he's fully recovered and tradable.
  17. I hope he wouldn't be broke considering he's been paid $30-40MM in his career. He's already set for life if he didn't piss it away. But yes, even with $40MM in the bank you still don't want to risk an additional $50MM+++. And this has always been the rub, I think. He wants the Sabres to cover his risk.
  18. I will hold the handling of Ullmark against KA. He should have traded him last deadline.
  19. Jack can bet on his doctor and get ADR surgery, and let the chips fall.
  20. Jack wants the Sabres to allow him his ADR surgery, but also guarantee his contract if it doesn't work out. Jack really only has one choice: get that surgery against the Sabres wishes. The Sabres could sue or void his deal. But the smart move is to wait until he rehabs and see how it turns out. If he can play, trade him. If he's ruined from it, void his deal.
  21. "BREAK UP THE SABRES!! Who are these guys??"
  22. Jack goes rogue. Back alley ADR surgery in Chinatown.
