  1. There's nothing wrong with judging each situation on merit, rather than always go with "the Sabres stink. They must be wrong about everything."
  2. It's not hard to imagine an agent going to a reporter or podcaster and "leaking" a scoop that helps their client. Or ask a friend of said player to chime in. You'll notice that Elliotte Friedmann only interviewed Jack's doctor. He can't speak to a Sabres doctor obviously, but he never sought out other non-involved spine surgeons to get their take on ADR vs fusion.
  3. Just curious: They built that spectacular sports medicine facility at One Bills Drive. Are Sabres players not allowed in? Even after football season?
  4. Well he was sh**y for us.
  5. You're missing the point. It's not about vilifying Eichel. I think it's part of the pressure campaign Jack's agents are orchestrating to shame the Sabres into moving Jack sooner.
  6. Anyone listening to The Instigators right now? Rivet says the Sabres would have had to pay Sam $7.75/yr to equal the same take-home pay that he's getting in Florida. #NYSTaxes
  7. Thanks, Jason.
  8. Who, Robin? Perish the thought! More chorography going on here than a Bob Fosse musical.
  9. Who, according to Robin, is grossly underpaid because.....he openly discusses his mental issues and the NHL doesn't like it. Gee.
  10. So to you, the Pegulas go out of their way to spend MORE money so they can have a totally separate and deliberately inferior medical staff for the Sabres? Do I have that right?
  11. "Wanted: Incompetent medical people to replace previous incompetent staff. Apply @ PSE."
  12. Exactly. Jack wants the Sabres to take all the risk and guarantee his money.
  13. Not surprised you like this. You can turn around and pillory Adams for such a meager return.
  14. Going by points isn't the best metric since there were only 56 games last season. But let's try to come up with a ratio. 54 points over 82 games would equal 37 points over 56 games. So a 20-point jump would be 74?
  15. Is there a particular goalie you had in mind that is waiting for a call from Kev?
  16. You asked when do you start judging Adams. I say it starts with this season. That doesn't mean making snap judgements on moves the second they are done. As for judging progress, how about measurable improvement from last year? Not in the bottom 5? Continued point improvement from Mitts, Dahlin, Tage? Not feeling like they are doomed after giving up a goal? In short, not looking and playing as bad as last year. The big unknown is what we have in net.
  17. Starting this year. This is the first year he is in full control and not going along with a coach he inherited. It's the same logic I apply to Granato, not counting his first 5-6 games as interim head coach.
  18. I expect Hochul to act tough but give the Bills most of what they want.
  19. I guess being part of the last ten years of Sabres futility doesn't hurt your chances at future employment.
  20. He was saddled with a HC that got 6 wins. Moves like Taylor Hall were likely done at behest of RK. I'm willing to brush off 2020 for that reason. Now he has his coach and his vision.
  21. Happens with the Bills all the time. People sweetie they were done after 17 years and no playoffs. Start winnng, draft the greatest QB in a generation and look what happens.
  22. Year one of being fully in charge of the team. Not making decisions based on Ralph Krueger's wishes.
  23. This is the rub. I think Kevyn Adams has been more than competent. He's now in charge of the Sabres, not like last year when he had to back up the head coach he inherited. So to say he's exhibited poor management after half an offseason is ludicrous. He got good value for Risto, okay value on Sam, and he's not getting railroaded by the fans, media or other GMs with Eichel. I don't know if he even tried to sign any major free agents but he's expressed a desire to go with youth and have them develop. We won't be making the playoffs but if we show improvement and be at least entertaining to watch, that's a good step in year one. You can't erase the last ten years. You have to recover one small step at a time. The last thing we need is another reboot over imagined failures.
