  2. How about meeting at a BDSM dungeon where we can flog each other? Seems appropriate for a group of masochists.
  3. I live in NH and I'm 45 minutes from Hampton Beach. The big news this summer was all the empty hotel rooms and unrented condos that normally are filled with vacationers from Quebec.
  4. Dude, the drop in border crossings is real. It's math. Every business in the US that relies on people coming from up north is hurting. Don't come here trying to gaslight us that it's not happening.
  5. But until now there was a reasoned approach to crossing the border. There was an understanding that most people are just going to a game or doing some shopping, and that border crossings are an economic engine. Now how much sense is there in hurting businesses in your border community by treating everyone crossing with suspicion? That's overdoing it and it's unnecessary.
  6. Yes. That's the point of the article. Crossing for any reason is a hassle.
  7. Who decides that? Then explain the drop when the Sabres aren't playing?
  8. True. I just meant that on mid-week work nights folks would not want to risk ANY delay due to an over-zealous border grunt.
  9. Canadians Are Avoiding Buffalo Border Crossings: Agents Allegedly Asking Questions About Past Trips https://share.google/qNQ7GWzq3193ibJA5 No one in Fort Erie or St. Catherine's is going to risk this for a mid week Sabres game.

  11. Albany FireWolves are relocating to Ontario for upcoming season https://share.google/IVRO1Yigvutm765cQ That's a shame but it's not like Albany showed up in big numbers. I drove from NH two years ago when the Bandits had a playoff game there and they barely had 4,500, and maybe 1,000 were Bandits fans.
  12. Turns out beating Arizona would have been the better move.
  13. Every "dud" Sabres goalie magically gets better when they leave. There's a reason. Also D includes the forwards.
  14. Thanks for posting. I was going to as well. Really drove home the point that what goes on in front of the goalie matters as much as the goalie. The Eric Comrie story was telling. Let's hope the Sabres defensive moves fix this issue.
  15. I was offered tickets for Neil Young in two weeks in NH. Jon Anderson can still hit those high notes.
  16. Ratzlaff is 20. Leinonen is 21. I assume they battle for the #2 spot with the Amerks.
  17. Wilson's daughter, I believe her name was Linda Bogdan, was a pioneer in the NFL when few women held any positions. I don't know her level of skill as a scout, but one player she did find for the Bills was linebacker Carlton Bailey. Which led to hockey's Justin Bailey to be born in Buffalo.
  18. My point is he doesn't really matter in the end, if he's retained or not. It's the core platers that matter.
  19. You are correct. This is a make or break year, not so much for Adams but for Dahl's and Tage, and probably Tuch if he takes a wait n see strategy to resigning. But I think this off-season has been markedly different from the rest of Adams tenure. There has been a change of philosophy from the fast and skilled Granato model that peaked two years ago when they reached 91 points and just missed. Now the focus is on toughness and being harder to play against. Jarmo Kekalainen must be having something to say about it. I also think Ruff is adding his two cents as well. Every player except Lyon has fit that mold. You may not like what the Sabres have done this off-season, but to say they've done little or nothing couldn't be further from the truth.
  20. So are you saying you are done with Levi?
  21. I'll give you $100 if you find me saying this was a "genius" marketing move. I said it was a proper event for your largest sponsor. You know you lost an argument when you resort to making up stuff.
