Selective memory re: Reimer last year. Lindsey did play him and he lost more then he won before he got hot towards the end of the season. So it wasn't as obvious as you make it out to be. Also remember that folks here thought Lyon was going to be a dud when Adams signed him because stats. 🙄 Reimer is 5 years older than Lyon and is still a free agent.

I'd like to see how good/or not Colten Ellis is first. But I also can't see starting him while Lyon is playing so well and the Sabres need rack up a couple wins.

I saw Lyon make several unbelievable saves, including one against Boston.

Believe it or not, as of now, the Sabres have the 13th power play in the league. 21.4%. Penalty kill is #3 at 93.8%. Keep in mind a 25% PP% would put you at 7th best last season. Scoring on 1 out 4 is all it takes.

Lyon's home town is Baudette, MN. Just down the road from the famous Warroad, MN. They are right on the Canadian border, close to the Northeast Angle, and closer to Winnipeg than Duluth. WNY winter temps and winds won't faze him but lake effect snows might. But there's always a team that thinks a change of scenery will solve it all. How about a forward?

So far the Sabres 3-headed goalie monster has a clear #1. The questions right now are: 1) How long do we ride him? 2) Do we test Colten Ellis before we start UPL?

I agree things feel over. Dahlin may be trying too hard because the rest of the team can't keep up. Still, watching him puke up the puck is hard to forgive. I don't disagree with playing Lyon in three straight. He's been keeping the Sabres in games. But Ellis is going to have to play soon or they will wear Lyon out totally.

Do you really think Mr. Let's-start-Geersten has a grip on rebuilding the Sabres? I'm not sure.

Yeah. He's trying hard. Appert had a great run with the Amerks but these last two years have hurt his reputation. Maybe that's unfair but I'd rather Leone get the promotion.
