Given the sabres record in November December and January it makes sense attendance was low especially as covid spiked again... been seeing more fans of late but I get it they have been bad for a while and it took some show me for fans to return... gotta believe if they pick up a goalie in the offseason.. have a solid draft and maybe sign a good free agent fans will return... KA and Donny G seem to be developing a good product and I have some optimism... Still depends of offseason.

Well that was a frustrating game... a few miscues, crap goaltending and flukey bounces yet Sabres outplayed Blues for long stretches... though outcome with Eakin and Butcher in wasnt in doubt.... Power got schooled... missing Mule's presence hurt... sigh

If so, I'd sign Kadri in a heart beat to take over for Eakin...

He was decent lets not overstep... positionally sound, didnt do too much and it was important he didnt do too much... kept it simple

Two observations, i know im late to the party, 1. when they pack it on D, who ever regains the puck after a scramble always seems to try and skate it out of the zone instead a high flip out and the D end up running into their own teamate. Noticed this against Fla... each screw up led to a bad chance and a couple goals in both games... The other issues is forwards need to see how many are needed that low and is it a result of Alamo mode or how much is it coaching... either D or recoverer needs to get puck out of zone... yeh and Anderson played like dog doo doo.

Also because of covid, lost games and development scouts will earn their money evaluating talent and potential... I still think the rankings a more of a crap shoot this year than most presenting opportunities to find diamonds in the rough.

If Asplund can learn faceoffs better maybe he needs to join the tree cutting service to learn to better wack sticks
