Wish Konopka was switched for Conacher against the Bruins. I think the Sabres need the toughness.

Thoughts on seeing the game live. Erhoff was horrible, wouldn't shoot... lazy getting back for the puck. Leino is just soft, can't pick the puck out the corners or boards to save his life. Conacher is too small and doesn't have enough to go against the big boys. Risto is impressive, looked like he was double shifting some of the time last nite, Weber had his best game all year, blocked three shots that really hurt. Hacket played great even after taking a puck off net, shoulder? What is wrong with Foligno, he just seemed off... still hurt or infected by Staphyl? Stafford actually played hard in what seemed like limited time. P.S. Though the Refs dominated the Sabres in the second period... the Rangers were slow passing the puck, Sabres played strong D and really they kept hitting Hacket in the chest. To his credit, he didn't give up many rebounds. Stewart was tough and Mitchell looked decent, but glaring hole at center was evident. Guys couldn't get puck out of their own end in the 2nd period. Didn't help with all the cheap penalty call. Girgenson caused lots of trouble, luv that guy!

Going to game tonight. Want to see the young guys up close. Should be fun down in the 5th row, section 214 area.

Yeh, last night was hard to watch. Was hoping one of the Sabres would go take a Flyers head off especially after the Renaldo hit, but the way they played on that powerplay and really for the rest of the game it was tough to take. Looks like they have their gold clubs out already... sigh.... guess we should start a 2015 draft thread soon, because I can't see them that much better next year. The young guys have too much growing up to do and the Vets by and large suck.... sigh... shake my head. Wish Sabres hadn't traded McNabb. And Renaldo is being quoted on Philli news pages as saying "these are just unfortunate things that happen to me.... I shouldn't have done it...," kinda like he is the victim. Pulease.... Make him sit for the entire playoffs. That statement is so disingenuous it makes me sick.

Isle's have the tie breaker for 4th place if you are looking at it from a futility standpoint. Calgary has the edge on position in standing... a higher position because of games won in regulation. Last game April 13th with Sabres playing Isles and Calgary playing Vancouver.

I agree, maturity issues past or not, I don't trust the guy. I still don't think he is truly committed to playing hockey for the love of it. He plays it like a job and he is punching a time clock.... Nothing inspiring there. Let the guy go and whatever you do don't resign him. Foligno has already started picking up his bad habits...

Think you are right, now just have to root for Calgary as well to win and the Isle to lose and St. Louis to keep winning. Tank on and Stafford still needs to go.

Leino stated migraines caused dizziness. I too wonder about a physical condition affecting mental health or the opposite creating the migraines. I don't wish this on anyone and hope he gets better, just wish he would play better for the Sabres especially after getting paid so much. I too like Lieuw, nice to see a big goalie in net and if he keeps working, Sabres may have found their next no 1 goalie:)

Only if you were planning to fall asleep. Sabres won, but game was kinda disjointed. NJ is not very good, imo.

That is awesome, congrats. We just started as well. Won the first two games. I missed the next 2 because I was on vacation and sick, but should return shortly. Good luck on this next season. Our motto is we suck...

I almost feel sorry for Leino except that he plays on the Sabres... and gets paid a boatload of cash to not score goals. He won one when the Sabres still need to lose 2 more...

That is what Darcy said for years and the Sabres lost talent up the middle. Centers like Hodgson can be converted to wing when need be, but wingers rarely become centers. Draft up the middle, go after centers. I can't stress enough Ecklab now matter how is rated is not the answer in this draft. My only question is which one of these centers is best to draft, not if the Sabres should draft one with the first pick. The Sabres are Deep at D, and maybe some there are some potentially late maturing D later in the draft. So, yes I patently disagree with your thoughts on this... :wacko:

So I am not sure if anyone has posted this video, but TSN's Craig Button has the Sabres drafting Bennett 1st and getting this year's pick from the Islanders and drafting Draisaitl in the fourth spot with Reinhart going 5th to Calgary. I gotta think if the Sabres have an opportunity to get Reinhart 4th they take him over Draisaitl, though who knows. My question is who has the bigger motor with all that skill. Not quite accurate, they seem to say Reinhardt as characteristics like MacKinnon and could develop into a similar player. I disagree, not the same type, but I think they are comparing his vision and that he makes those around him better by being able to set them up. I don't think he is the same kind of skater, he is bigger though and uses his body more to shield the puck, but doesn't seem to have Mac's speed. Just my opinion of what I have seen...

I think there is logic in both of the above statements and that is why no one can with any confidence figure out what the Islanders will do. Guess it will be a hurry up an wait deal and give us one more thing to discuss after such a crappy season up to the draft.... Yipee (sarcasm)

So the magic number right now is 5 points and if the Sabres lose tonight it drops to 6 points it drops to 4 points the Sabres need to give up or to guarantee last place. Another words if they 6-3 in the their last games they will still finish last. Tank on. Looks like the Ranger game I am going to on April 10th will be a gimme game for the Sabres, not sure about the Rangers, sounds like they are still playing for something.
