Smith is making really nice goggles now. Suggest renting to try out different styles and lenghts. Rented 10 different pairs last year... Rossi make a pair with slightly narrower back 177s that I like, there are others but you need to try out different types and realize its not the same. PS newer skiis seem a lot heavier to me. Not sure if its the layoff or my age???

PS just got back into skiing, now that my oldest is snowboarding. new parobolics have taken a while to get used to. Have a season rental with thinner backends. Grew up on a pair of K2 intermediate racers. New ones are great on ice and pack powder. Not so great in powder imo. Too much bite and not long enough.

I have a good pair of bauers but dont get out that much. TY for info on wheels. Definetly different.

. Was talking to a guy who said roller blading can screw up your ice skating. Is that true. He did say there were a new type of skates, expensive, but more closely mimics ice skating... something about having a rocker built in.

Probably all good but for someone raised the other way it sometimes hard to adjust... probably finding away to show what needs to be done and or when its its done well reinforces a positive message that is likely to be followed. Boneheaded plays probably deserve a good scream and be done with and back to the positive. Dwelling on the negative is never good despite this boards critical analysis. Good work should be rewarded.

New generation , when I was young you got yelled and moved to do better. My son only moves when you take something away and then praise him when he does what he is suppose to do. Not saying old way wasnt harsh, but the new gen is too coodled.

Normally, I agree with you, but Sam is kind of unique. He is an excellent passer and sees the ice well, but doesn't have the outstanding speed or ability to carry the puck up the ice like some of the young guns. What he brings though is toughness in front of the net, incredible hand eye coordination. It is one of those deals where he is more than a complimentary player, but he is not a do it on his own kinda guy. I think he has a role with someone like Jack and a finisher who knows how to move the puck... which is why Kane is no bueno along side him and Jack. But as a set up man, I really like Sam.

Probably and easy one... If a forward, they will start on the fourth line, Nylander is a big if... Kane might not be around.... If a D Bogosian is an if and same with Ghule, McCabe may be the odd man out though having these six plus Dahlin or Zadina sounds wonderful. If Kane is gone for a later first rounder, who might be available... and are there any free agents out there that might fit in? Pulliot may still be around too...

I am of your mindset, except that it could be sooner as Housley develops his system... right now he is doing it on the fly... preseason and the little training camp deal is not enough to set the team up the way he needs. Agreed, with your analysis of the above players... add in Middlestadt and Ghule next year and if a top 3 draft pick is obtained along with relief from the Gorges and Moulson contracts going forward help the Sabres pick up another top D and it could happen next year. But this year there is no shot. I love Kane's strengths, but his weaknesses.... passing and ice awareness are killer and believe he could be high end trade bait that could land Sabres another 1st rounder in a deep draft. Hoping bringing up some of the Euros toward the end of the season could help develop some team chemistry going into next year. Again these are all ifs and you could be right 2019... hate it because I had some hopes for this year... Not sure anyone is a cancer on this team, maybe Sam... just think there is not enough talent on this team... and it just doesn't mesh well. Though gotta say the D overall is a cancer.

Weird Deal, Coyotes are dead last followed by Edmonton and the Sabres... Who would have expected that and Toronto playing like crap yet Colorado is doing well??? The older I get the more questions I have????

Or if he can be traded in a package so another teams takes some of his salary its less of a loss and now at least Sabres get some relief.
