Watched the last period at work. Sabres worked the whole game... Hutton still not up to snuff but... Oloffson showed what Jack can do with a goal scorer on his wing. Wouldn't mind letting Frolik go at the end of the season or trading him for a bag of pucks. Keep Lazar for his toughness and faceoffs. D looked decent tonight, though McCabe as tough as he is looks slow. Gonna be an interesting trade deadline and offseason. Sabres 10 points out of the playoffs and yet 11 points out of the bottom of the division minus Detroit... no one is catching them or LA. So they could finish anywhere between 3rd in the Tankathon, in between or in the playoffs.... its called hockey purgatory...

Talked to Zegras' father at the gym the other day, he would have loved to have been drafted by Buffalo. Dad is about 6 feet and stocky... like the genes... but what would Anaheim want?

Question, would you trade this year's first plus say Pilut for one of the high firsts from last year that might be more ready... say Zegras or Turcotte?

Question in this regard, if the Sabres win say 16 more games out of the last 25 games, it puts them at 88 points, not in the playoffs, but with the scoring challenge of this team and shiite at time, young goaltenders, I call this a successful though disappointing season. I'd say Ralphy did a great job with the hand he was dealt. Obviously, Cozens will help next year and another forward free agent and high draft pick. In fact, I'd say anything above 80 points is pretty remarkable and yet with where the Sabres are at, it is doable. They are basically playing 500 hockey right now or just below and I wonder though people were hoping for better the slow rebuild is starting to take shape. You add Olloffson back, Cozens next year and hope for a trade or signing that brings a high end forward and maybe they strike gold. Hard swallow another, here is hoping for the next off season... but the goalie talent looks like it is coming. Again, they just need serviceable 2C while Cozen develops and maybe Mitts can regain his confidence on wing. Lots of ifs and butts, soup and nuts...

Glad last nights game was on NBC and I could not watch only having internet, it was blocked... I needed the rest because my overnite shift was nuts and the ER was bonkers.

Still dont want to catch it and not sure you can trust China's numbers... agreed media scare.. on to the latest draama... my ER would be lit up with folks wanting the vaccine.
