It was discussed in another thread. Those pairings suck. Anytime the top pair isn’t on the ice is a disaster waiting to happen.

It doesn’t seems to be working period. Also, it puts their two best D on one pair leaving the barely skilled waifs to fend for themselves for 2/3 of the game. Not good.

Right. But that’s what this team needed then and still needs now. The fact that a decade can pass where not one GM bothered to do the easiest thing of just adding sandpaper, which would appease a large segment of this fanbase, instead just keep brining in similar soft skill players is maddening. All you had to do was have a few guys on the team that hit and occasionally fight and most of the fanbase would have been content waiting for the skill to arrive via the draft.

That extra inch on player height isn’t changing how they play. Which is small. Even our 6’3”-6’7” players play small. Can we get anyone that plays physical or aggressive?

Sorry dude. The team sucks, the gm sucks, the coach sucks. One undersized “generational” player or whatever people are calling him isn’t going to make the difference. I’m tired of hype on prospects. Did we not learn our lesson from Eichel? Having twenty 5’ 10” 175 lbs (including half their D) skill guys isn’t working.

Yeah I don’t care how good Bedard is, the Sabres are chock full of smallish skill players on the team (Skinner, Olofsson, Quinn, Krebs, Peterka, Hiney) with many more in the pipeline (Ostland, Savoie, Weissbach, Rosen, Kisakov). They need players that aren’t just good shooters or fast skaters. They need guys that are hard to play against not just dudes who float on the perimeter looking for an easy opportunity. I’m not calling for 4 lines of pluggers, just anyone that I’d hate if they played against the Sabres. This goes for the D as well. Pilut, Bryson, Fitzgerald are either too small, too weak or not good. No reinforcements in Rochester or elsewhere.

It’s like we are in a race to see who can hop off the bandwagon fastest. I’m still on it but I’m standing getting ready to pounce.

I couldn’t do TWD after the whisperers were introduced. Stupid concept, hated the actress playing alpha, not anything interesting happening. They essentially made blood thirsty inescapable zombies just background noise and turned it into a soap opera. They throw in a gruesome zombie death every episode to titillate the fans of the genre but it always seems forced.
