I made it half way through the second period last game. Hoping to make it at least through the end of the 2nd tonight. -
Not sure if they plan on going with DiBiasi (who has been filling in during Hosi’s absences) is a long term plan but I love the kids content. Smart, intuitive, opinionated, and more aligned with younger fan takes.

Didn’t they just have one?
-
Now if they can just find a way to mute the mic during intermissions so I don’t have to hear all of his bodily functions, it would be great. Seriously though, he’s been the voice of the Amerks for the entirety of my rooting life. Glad he got recognized. Fun fact, he’s my in laws neighbor. See him all the time.

I was thinking about this watching the fist half of the game last night. Good teams have leaders that will put the team on their shoulders and push through. We have young leaders like Cozens, Dahlin and Tuch but they don’t seem like they are ready for that role (Tuch probably should be for all the “future captain” talk in the off-season). Our current leaders, Girgs and Okposo, aren’t capable of carrying the team through tough stretches because of dwindling talent (Okposo) or not enough skill (Zemgus). Until the aforementioned young leaders achieve the status where they can will their team to win, this team is going to struggle. All teams have tough stretches. Good ones have leaders that keep it together. The Sabres aren’t there yet. The help they need isn’t coming from the draft (sans Bedard). They will need to figure it out or bring in some more talent. -

Less than one period when Meatballs realizes the chemistry that every line had is lost and they can’t exit the defensive zone. -
Yeah anytime they play music at the BCA, I feel like I’m back in 1992 blasting my parents Sony television At full volume in the living room sounding like complete garbage. The intermission stuff with Suzie Cool ain’t much better. They need an upgrade, desperately.

Success can be fleeting. Unless some drastic moves are made this off-season, I don’t see this team winning more than 10-11 games. They won’t be beating up on division foes like the last 4 years. They’ll be lucky to go .500 in division which means they’ll have to be well above .500 vs the other teams. I don’t see it, we’ll see I suppose.

I think this team is going to mire in mediocrity for the rest of Allen’s career. Both the Chiefs and Bengals are set up for long term success. Other teams are catching up to the Bills. I think they’ll twist in the wind averaging 8-10 wins a season under this regime.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a team piss away goodwill like this season’s Sabres team. All the big losses at home, nuking all the fan fare from last season with an 8 game losing streak. Any time the community starts swelling with excitement about the team they play their worst game in 5 seasons. It’s maddening. -
I’d be surprised if they win a period let alone a game with those lines.

Jakob Chychrun scratched for trade related reasons

B level prospects and 2nd round picks ain’t gonna get you much this time of year. Meier and Chychrun for certain will cost at least two assets that will be a gut punch. -

Reading is fundaMENTAL -
Bryson with the worst open ice hit attempt I’ve ever seen in pro hockey. He skated face first into a Flame and bounced off him face first. Please get him off the team.

It’s sunny? I’m not mad about when the party is. As Hank Shocklee once told us, Dowhatyalike. I’m more comfortable watching later with some beverages and smokables. This party is apparently a dual bday (their bffs kid was born around same date) and I imagine the individuals who planned the event either weren’t aware of when the game was (almost certainly) or this was the only time slot the location they are having the party at had available.
-
Yes. Is your inquiry suggesting I stream the game on my phone at my in laws one year old bday party?
-
Somehow, despite everyone in the family being huge Sabres fans, my in laws managed to schedule a bday party for a one year old at noon today. Thankfully I am recording the game.
-
Ugh. I know a lot of things go into schedule making but could this break coupled with a western road trip means for the majority of February, fans get to see this team play a handful of games unless you work B shift or something. Right when the team is making a playoff push with young stars in the making all over the roster and no one is going to see it. NHL gonna NHL.

Who’s Next to Re-sign and how long and for how much?

As I often like to say, make it a pole, errr…poll. -
Unfortunately, the majority of fans aren’t like us. Ok maybe fortunately. They don’t watch every game, know all the players height, weight and junior/college/Europe team. They catch a few games here and there. Watch the highlights, hear the breaking news. Those fans still need convincing. A guy like Kane moves the needle for them. They just don’t know he sucks now.
-
Until he’s on the ice for 15 goals allowed in 4 games. Dude is flat out garbage now. I wouldn’t trade anything for him. They would need to add something for me to take him.
