My wife's PET and CAT scan and biopsy came back negative and the oncologist told us yesterday that there is no sign of the Lymphoma. That, my friends - is Freaking Awesome!!!

We get our 2nd line center (and still don't lose the first round pick) who has already played in the league and they get their Sedins 2.0. Two questions: 1.) Ivan thinks the Sabres should attempt to trade for another Swedish defenseman who can help mentor Rasmus Dahlin transition into the NHL. Jonas Brodin would be my first pick; Lyle Richardson wrote a piece where he mentions that the Wild might have to make some tough choices this off season; yes, I know it's on the internet but it's all I have to go on. I don't know if the Wild would deal with us after the Foligno and Ennis trade but maybe a package starting with Hudson Fasching, a Minnesota boy, would entice them.

I believe that our core needs to be changed. I chose Risto because I think he is the player that our HC and GM are talking about when they refer to players not listening to what they're being told. I also chose ROR because of the comments that he made at the end of the year. Losing has a way of really working on the psyche of a player. I think these two players would bring us 2 things that are vital to moving forward: a change in the locker room and new players that would be acquired via trades.

Ivan's Plan: 1.) Trade ROR for a defenseman like a Hanifan (frees up money) 2.) Trade Risto for a you forward who can skate and has a winner's pedigree 3.) Try to move Okopso & Bogo to free up money 4.) Go hard after Tavares 5.) Try to trade Nylander for Julovei ( both seem to need a change I scenery) ​Na Zdrowie!!!

Ivan would trade Nylander for Joulevi in a heartbeat but we'd have to throw in a case of Sobieski vodka to seal the deal!

I'd like to see him with Nylander just to see how our last two 1st round picks look together. Who knows...... Maybe they'd hit it off.

Cole is another player that would come in here from a team that is used to competing and winning and would help in those dirty areas. We've heard two of the least tennured Sabres (Nolan and Scandella) talk about the differences of their prior teams and this Sabres locker room. Until we rid ourselves of these players that don't give a crap, we will be stuck watching a crappy product on the ice. I say - bring him in but not for Kane; as others mention, Kane is worth more.

Zach Hyman - Ivan is pretty sure he won't be a FA until July or Aug. GMTM must call FLA and offer a draft pick for his rights! Ivan is hopeful that the Islanders get whacked in the f1st round and that their pick falls in the 17-18 range. Ivan would have no problem offering one of our 2nd round picks to FLA for him if the Islanders flame out. Hyman goes 6' 1" and is > 200 lbs he is also a right handed shot; he is from Tronno and that might help in him signing him after GMTM obtains his rights. He was originally drafted in the 5th round.
