McGinn was a steal. Really like the guy for his role. -

Wow. So nice, in a superficial way, to be looking forward to Sabres games this year. Existentially, it's pathetic, but superficially it's great. -
WTF happened to the guy, seriously.

I grew up watching Bond flicks, mainly the Moore era. Then the movies just got worse, especially after you see the Connery ones. I thought Craig put the franchise back on the right track, but agree Bond needs to have a certain charisma. IMHO, Connery is still the Bond to beat; he could do drama and action, then lighten it up and make it all look natural. Whoever they pick for the next Bond needs to be able to do that.

I think the comparison to Miller stops at the ice's edge. The butterfly style combined with the acrobatics and aggressive crease-breaching pretty much defines Miller's game and Ullmark has a similar combination going on. The interviews, so far, with Ullmark show us a dude who is definitely not Ryan Miller. Indeed, I'd say MODO's characterization is pretty spot on from what I've seen, at least.

Well, there's your problem: your house was designed by M.C. Escher.

Twitter cred? Me? You have the wrong guy for that.

Welcome MODO. There's something about Ullmark I like, despite my criticisms of his current form. He's got hockey charisma for sure. Your post verifies this in a way: not every European player has a fan follow him with such enthusiasm.

but can he dangle?

His contributions show up on the scoreboard, just not as points. I never expected him to be a PPG player, and still don't, but he still exceeds my expectations. His "disappearing" for a game = average player's best effort.

I hate Boston, and the Habs just broke thier dirty, rotten hearts with this game.
-
FWIW, the Habs are getting the same kind of officiating the Sabres have been receiving.

I have to agree with Duff, Ullmark is reminiscent of a young Miller.

That's why we watch hockey. I thought Foligno quietly had a very good game.

That was a lucky puck, that's what that was.

Now that was a big save right there.

The setup was perfect, he had to pass. Moulson was tied up by the defender at the right time, is all. Oops, looks like it was Moulson who had a "moment".

Ullmark's post play and side-to-side movement are both fixable, especially since he's so young. That was just a young, rookie goalie mistake. The play that led to the goal notwithstanding.
