Beat me to it. I have perfected the peanut butter pie. Second, French Topped, Deep Dish Apple Pie with real pig lard. Yum.

Until they can evaluate the injury, they have to assume they need to protect the spinal cord from a broken vertebra, hence the stretcher.
-
Thanks, WW. I did look it up, since we had the time. I can see why they're taking the precautions. It looks to me like a whip-lash type of injury.
-
Explain, please.
-
That's the way it looked to me, initially.

WTF?

Finally.

The Sabres are a parallel of my life, in a metaphoric way.

So, did anyone hear Robray telling the story today that Lehner still complains about ankle soreness or whatever? Heard it out of the corner of my ear, but it seemed like Robray was passing it along as if it were part of Lehner's "excuse". No mention of Lehner's positioning failures that I heard, or here'd.

This game needs a bench-clearing brawl.
-
D-Lo with the 'lite deflection. Lehner with the treason.
-
McCabe with the lob.

Subban is a leader for that team, and he's a dirty ass player. No surprise the other guys have picked up the dirty.
-
I'll take that penalty every day.
-
Yikes, I saw that coming. Damn right they better stick up for Samson. There was an elbow in there.
-
I would like to see Subban hit hard tonight.

Reads like a Sean Connery impression.

Goodness, the only forward who might make sense is Lucic, but not for $6 mil. I like Okposo's cap hit, I don't know his game, though, so can't say anything about that. But if he's a 50 point guy regularly, a real winger, and comes in at $3.5 mil AAV, he can't be all bad. Yandle is a left-handed D with point production. I think he has to be the primary UFA target.

Bravo, TBPhD. That was a thought-provoking post. At the very least, it puts some reasoning behind my "meh" reaction to the idea of blowing our wad on Stamkos. I think Pysyk is probably the odd man out on the blue line this summer. I don't see how, especially after reading that, Murray wouldn't want another stud D-man. Although I think McCabe could evolve into a second pairing guy on a playoff team if he can clean up the brain farts. I don't think Bogo is going anywhere. He does provide the nasty that Murray likes and has some offensive skill. He's also pretty young and, perhaps most importantly, on a lengthy somewhat expensive contract. If he can clean up his D game, I don't know if it would hurt to keep him, although, and I get the impression this might be your main concern with Bogo as well, I have doubts about what he can contribute to a playoff team. I do like the idea of adding depth on the forward ranks, because that is definitely what the team needs. If your depth means your fourth line consists of Larrson, Foligno and D-Lo, then you're in a much better position to win games.

I would like to see someone other that Cal O'Reilly up. He can't play with this team where Bylsma wants him to play.
-
Woah, when's the last time you saw such fervent, focused pressure by the Sabres?
-
The Eichel line needs to stay together the rest of the season. Kane, I think, has grown as a player right along with Jack and Samson.
-
Okay, Disco Dan, I think your first PP unit is pretty solid.
-
The one thing with Bogo that i like is that he's developing offensive chemistry with the Eichel line.
