Got that right. The least of the candidates, even the one that bows out first, will walk away with millions of dollars just for waging a campaign. NONE, repeat NONE, of the money raised by them is returned. It is all theirs to keep. Nice work if you can get it.

We should all consider that last sentence very carefully.

I literally laughed to the point of tears when I read this! Great stuff and much appreciated for the endorphins released.

I'd be more inclined to go along with this line of thinking if there wasn't such strong evidence suggesting plans for invading Iraq were on the drawing board long before 9/11.
-
There were thousands of dissenting voices leading up to that travesty. Only a few of which were our political leaders. As for prescience, there were many prominent voices across a large spectrum of disciplines, including military brass, that predicted the outcome. Invading Iraq was on the neo-con drawing board of Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, and Cheney for several years before W was ever elected. Had little to do with Carter Doctrine.

Some of us were protesting as the drumbeats grew louder as it was the dumbest, most unnecessary war in our history that also succeeded in taking the heat of of Bin Laden, the true enemy. But it secured the flow of oil through US control to this day, so there's that. After Cheney's report on energy security in 2001, there was nothing that was gonna stop us from silencing Hussein's rhetoric about pegging oil to the euro, etc. Masterfully played.

Common sense should indicate that when a person decides not to have sex but doesn't indicate that to their partner, then that person really hasn't decided not to have sex. I find the argument specious as it strains credulity to think that most people who have decided not to have sex with someone don't make it abundantly clear to the other person. Are there exceptions? As with anything, yes, I'm sure there are. I just don't put much stock in exception proves the rule types of arguments.

You answered your own question. The advancement stops when she decides she doesn't want to have sex. Period. Doesn't matter how far along in the act they were. Once it is not consensual, it is game over. That could be before, during, or after intercourse, by the way. That should be obvious to a gentleman with an ounce of moral fiber that doesn't let his d ick do his thinking for him.

Loved his segment on televangelists last Sunday night. He even started his own church to make the point. Great stuff. His segment on standardized testing in schools was spot on as well.

Wilson is a bit of a physical freak for his size with huge hands and he's stronger than most at his position. A scout at the Senior Bowl was amazed the first he met him there. He has a cannon for an arm. You are right that the long out is still them measuring stick; if a guy can't throw the ball 20 yards from the far hash on time, he will have a hard time convincing people he has an NFL arm. Wilson can make that throw on a frozen rope. I think TT can as well. I just question his accuracy with it. I think he can get better. GO BILLS!!!

I don't think theory means what you think it means in the scientific sense. 1 + 1 = 2 is a theory.
-
Disagree. Wilson has made himself a good pocket QB and is night and day compared to his rookie year. Also, he was a pocket threat in college and has never been one to bail after his first option. He keeps plays alive with his feet and his eyes glued downfield. TT is still learning that aspect. Saw him a ton at VT and he was always a run first QB. My hope is that a few years of pro coaching combined with his intelligence and work ethic has helped. I just need to see it first. EDIT: wanted to add that Wilson is far more accurate as well. Defenses have learned to respect that. GO BILLS!!!

I think TT has a better chance than most to adapt and make the transition. I hear he is extremely bright in the classroom and has been great at translating his coach's input to the field. But old habits die hard and it is often harder to unlearn old things than to learn new ones. I know he will bust his ass working at it though. Next week should be a good test for him. Petine has a good D. TT is quite familiar with them though. GO BILLS!!!

Outstanding post! It applies to all professional team sports as well. GO SABRES!!!

You can't design a sustainable offense around a QB that can't operate from the pocket consistently. In order to keep defenses honest, you have to make them defend the entire field and the whole field is only available to an OC and his QB when he can set up and stay between the hash marks. Defenses, especially good ones, have figured out the read option. You will not beat teams often enough to make it a staple to design your O around and your QB will take pounding as well. The latest example of several over the years is Kaepernick. Compare All-22 tape from last year to his prior seasons and you can see it plain as day. GO BILLS!!!

Absolutely you should like what you are seeing. I just know regular season opponents will scheme to take away certain things and begin to limit his big plays off of broken plays. They are gonna force him to play from the pocket and make him beat them from there. Yes, he will continue to make the occasional huge play when things break down and he will look spectacular doing it, but sooner or later a QB has to beat teams using the whole field and you can only do that from the pocket. It is the nature of the beast. Our QBs looked good last night but I am willing to bet that league-wide, completion percentages were high and many QBs looked good the first week of preseason. GO BILLS!!!

Karlos Williams and John Miller were revelations last night. TT is a spectacular playmaker who tends to bail if his first read isn't there. He will make plays but he won't make a living as a starting QB unless he can operate from the pocket. It is that simple. That is all the snark I got. GO BILLS!!!

Why not? Our prisons are. Seriously though, I agree entirely. I have many posts to respond to in this thread. But I can feel my blood pressure rising as I'm close to this issue. When I calm down, I can shed some additional light.

His arm, particularly his release, is elite. For such a lengthy build, there is very little wasted motion; extremely efficient. As for his brain, he has no problem making good reads. He blew teams away in that regard while being scouted and during his interview process. He can get us in and out of the right and wrong plays and has been since his first game. If there is an aspect of his mental game I question, it's his poise. He tends to panic and that's when his lower body mechanics breakdown most often. But even when he is collected and in command, he has a tendency be lazy with his feet. He just doesn't set them properly much of the time. I think that is the result of always being able to rely on his arm to make plays and it may be so ingrained that it is not correctable. GO BILLS!!!

The phone stories are great. I am still waiting for the explanation as to why, if he destroys them every four months, he was able to give the league the phone records from an earlier phone from November '14, but the later phone containing the records the NFL wanted, was destroyed. More importantly, not one of our QBs has yet completed a pass today in practice. Indeed, there is no sign of EJ anywhere near the practice field. I believe he has already been cut.
