  1. Paging @The Ghost of Doohickie: we have a Fucale mention on line two. Fucale mention on line two.
  2. The video is only a snippet of what I witnessed a few feet from the bench for the entire second period. They were much too comfortable in that embarrassing position for my liking. Resigned, almost. I’m glad they were pushing and fighting and trying to get back in it, but whether or not the yucking it up impacted what was happening on the ice is not important to me. It was a loser’s optic.
  3. I can appreciate what you’re saying, but I can’t agree with it. Being down 4-1 after giving up 22 shots on goal in a period and getting your ass handed to you in the process is never something to laugh about on the bench during the game. There are times to have fun and there are times not to have fun. Last night was a time for the latter. Especially for us fans sitting there feeling miserable while the team is yucking it up.
  4. We sit next to the bench and I noticed this, too. In my book, it’s unacceptable in every way. First time I have to question Granato’s grasp of the situation. If he or the assistants didn’t notice it, they’re not tuned in. If they did, it wasn’t addressed because they were laughing it up the entire second period. This might be indicative of deeper issues and that’s concerning.
  5. Was the growth of these young, oh so vulnerable, made of fine porcelain players stunted earlier in the season when our goalies were standing on their heads in the face of the little to non existent goal support these tender little players provided?
  6. Can you help me understand the D+ concept? If Quinn and JJ were drafted only one year ago, why aren't they D+1?
  7. If I had to guess, it’s a broken hand/wrist sustained when he took that slash in the opener vs. Montreal. He went off the ice afterwards.
  8. I’m here all week. Try the veal.
  9. In that case, when they play the Rangers, the Flames need to make sure he’s matched up against Panarin.
  10. And all this time I thought he just wasn’t very good. 😄
  11. It was when it became any random two-word phrase that the MW theme jumped the shark. It was fine when the MW had an actual contextual connection to some aspect of the game. Sometimes they were actually kind of clever.
  12. Imo, there are only two worthy of wearing; Perreault and Hasek. I’ve got my Dom and still looking for a Bert.
  13. Yes, full STHs get Sabresbucks.
  14. No doubt. Tokarski staying healthy and Anderson and the rest of the injured coming back and contributing all fall under my “ break here or there” scenario.
  15. Currently on an 87 point pace. Some improvements and a break here or there and we could be in the hunt.
  16. My favorite aspect of how Granato relates the decision to have Cozens face McDavid and subsequently two of the game’s other best centers in succession, is how he describes wanting to see Cozens’s body language to determine Dylan’s response to the challenge. Donnie is tuned in.
  17. I’ll be watching on my newfound perk of free AHL TV. Thanks again, @PromoTheRobotand @Taro T!
  18. I wonder how much he was hurt. He’s athletically limited as it is, but he was even a tic or two slower in the third. All six D men struggled in the last period tonight especially with poor decision making. They looked panicked more than anything.
  19. Most unworthy. I haven’t seen as bad a period of hockey as that third period in years. Wish I had a nickel for every poor decision. I won’t even mention their complete lack of poise, either. Just a terrible display. Except for Toker.
  20. Donnie Meatballs pulling strings like the virtuoso he is.
