  1. Gee, and all this time I thought it was what I actually observed while watching every game he has played when all along it was me having the wrong expectations and not knowing what kind of player he really is. I’m so sorry, Mitts, that I’ve misunderstood you these last five years.
  2. Agree he is having a great tourney and KA should be interested, but Czechia has one of the most impressive overall D corp I’ve seen in a while at the U20 as well.
  3. I suppose that’s progress because prior to this season, other teams couldn’t even see us moaning and groaning.
  4. Trust me, I don’t base my opinion or expectations of Mitts on his draft position in the least. Indeed, I have zero expectations when it comes to Casey. My opinion is based solely on what I have observed watching him in every game he has played since he came into the league. He is not without skill, has great hands, and gives effort. But after five years, he has shown me nothing in the way of developing poise; of being able to slow it down for a tick to make the better play instead of frenetically trying to force things most of the time. We have already seen several younger players on the team demonstrate that poise. IMO, poise is what separates the average player from the good and the good player from the great. All I ever see from Mitts is glimpses.
  5. If and when we play the Bengals again, someone needs to punch Hayden Hurst hard in the face because it looks like his unsportsmanlike piling on of Taron Johnson at the end of the play is what caused Taron’s head injury and having to leave the game as a result. At least that’s what it looks like to this untrained eye.
  6. He is bad enough that five years into the experiment we are still asking the question. The highest compliment I can give him as a player is that he is JAG, an absolute non- difference maker as a player whether he is on the ice or not. Nice couch though.
  7. Thanks for your insight as well. Very much appreciated.
  8. Thanks for the insight, much appreciated. I just assumed, based on earlier reports that he was unable to breathe on his own, that the intubation included a respirator. Chalk it up to my naïveté that it might be just be an oxygen tube only. Thanks again.
  9. Can @Wyldnwoody44or another medically knowledgeable person shed some light on a question? It was reported that Damar’s vitals had returned to normal, but if he was intubated and placed on a respirator, doesn’t that suggest that at least one of his vitals, his respiration, has not normalized? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Ottawa also on a back to back and third in four. Sabres played a day game, had a shorter flight, and arrived in Ottawa hours before the Senators did. Sabres come in flying high, Senators questioning themselves for blowing a two goal lead. I like our chances with Anderson playing in front of his old home fans.
  11. In reading some commentary on Krebs’s fight, I hope people aren’t losing sight of the big picture. It doesn’t matter if Krebs got his ass kicked or not, doesn’t matter if he landed a punch or not, doesn’t matter if he left the ice bleeding or not. The only thing that matters is he was willing to engage when challenged.
  12. Where does the elbow end and the schnoz begin?
  13. Sabres should send that to the league’s officiating office. That is so blatant as to bring into question the integrity of the game. Just atrocious on every level.
  14. Can teams bring this crap to the league’s attention like they do in the NFL? Are NHL refs graded on a game by game basis also like the NFL?
  15. When I compare that attitude to some of the ungrateful losers who had no pride in that jersey, that’s all I need to know. So glad Tuch is here and is a part of our resurgence.
  16. I agree with 99% of the bold. The other 1% is derived from the fact that I’ve completely given up on Mitts and VO. They are nothing more than passengers at this point.
  17. The look on Krebs’s face skating off the ice while pumping his fists was priceless.
  18. Tough decision to make, but a nice one to have.
  19. Bruins have been living in the Sabres’ heads for a long time. We have to get over that psychological hump at some point, why not today?
  20. Some interesting food for thought regarding the Dahlin/Samuelsson discussion. For me it’s kind of simple: Dahlin is far, far, far better defensively than Mule is offensively, so he stays in the lineup.
  21. Sens tie it at 3 on the PP. And now get another PP because the Amerks can’t stay out of the sin bin.
  22. 3-2 at the end of two.
  23. Have you been watching him play with the Amerks? He sucks and our easy to crack lineup notwithstanding, I still wonder how he made our roster. Then again, DG tends to favor players he knows from his US Junior development days, so perhaps it’s not surprising at all.
  24. Whenever I watch Bjork in the A, I wonder how he ever cracked our lineup in the first place. Jost has been a solid upgrade to say the least, a sneaky good move by KA.
  25. How many times have we been here with Mitts? It is just as likely he disappears for several games rather than build on a good performance. Because we have been here so many times with Mitts.
