I don’t watch a ton of soccer, but a fair amount of Man City and a lot of World Cup every four years. While my soccer viewing is limited, I can say today’s final was the greatest soccer match I’ve ever witnessed. And nobody is more deserving than the Gretzky of soccer, Lionel Messi.

Thanks for this. Like it or not, hockey has evolved and continues to evolve away from the goonish antics of previous eras. Some knuckle draggers just don’t wanna get on board with this reality.

I believe that, which is why watching Mitts play is so damned frustrating. I think his biggest issue is he doesn’t play with poise most of the time; he’s just in too much of a hurry out there. But when he does take the extra half tick to assess his options, he can make a play like he did on Tage’s goal last night. He just doesn’t do it often enough.
