Where does the elbow end and the schnoz begin?

Sabres should send that to the league’s officiating office. That is so blatant as to bring into question the integrity of the game. Just atrocious on every level.

Can teams bring this crap to the league’s attention like they do in the NFL? Are NHL refs graded on a game by game basis also like the NFL?

When I compare that attitude to some of the ungrateful losers who had no pride in that jersey, that’s all I need to know. So glad Tuch is here and is a part of our resurgence.

I agree with 99% of the bold. The other 1% is derived from the fact that I’ve completely given up on Mitts and VO. They are nothing more than passengers at this point.

Some interesting food for thought regarding the Dahlin/Samuelsson discussion. For me it’s kind of simple: Dahlin is far, far, far better defensively than Mule is offensively, so he stays in the lineup.

Have you been watching him play with the Amerks? He sucks and our easy to crack lineup notwithstanding, I still wonder how he made our roster. Then again, DG tends to favor players he knows from his US Junior development days, so perhaps it’s not surprising at all.

Whenever I watch Bjork in the A, I wonder how he ever cracked our lineup in the first place. Jost has been a solid upgrade to say the least, a sneaky good move by KA.

How many times have we been here with Mitts? It is just as likely he disappears for several games rather than build on a good performance. Because we have been here so many times with Mitts.

I don’t disagree at all. Granato has to shorten the bench because he has a bottom three that can’t be trusted in crunch time. But that doesn’t mean Bryson and Clague don’t suck.

Gee, and here I was thinking it’s because they suck and simply can’t be trusted.

No game in 10 days, no practice in a week? Not exactly a formula for success tonight. Never wanted to be more wrong about anything though.

He’d be a third pairing D on the Sabres. It’s not like he’d be the piece that puts us over the top. While it would be nice to have him, his loss doesn’t fill me with a sense of regret, either.

You can thank the CBA which strictly forbade any team activity of any kind on Dec. 24, 25, and 26. The Sabres’ only available option was to organize as a team on Tuesday morning, transport everything to Rochester, and attempt a flight to Columbus from there. This after not playing for more than a week. The logistics were against them the entire time.

There is a time to trade young assets for proven veteran talent and a time not to. Look no further than GMTM for an example of the time not to. The time to do it is when adding those good veteran players puts you over the top and turns you into a perennial contender. And that doesn’t happen until you have a young, solid core of good players to add them to. I submit that the Sabres are nearly there given what we have seen so far this season. Sometime soon we are gonna be thanking KA for being patient, stockpiling assets, and doing it the right way.
