  1. Richard award or not, just seeing Tage mentioned with McDavid is a testament to how far he’s come and what a scoring threat he is in this league. Can’t remember the last time we had a player like that. Early 90s?
  2. That’s one helluva good question. Anderson is our number two, regardless, so he stays. Oopie needs to play, whether here or in the A and we need a definitive answer on Comrie. It’s a dilemma to be sure, but I gotta lean towards your take and send Oopie back to the A and keep playing regularly, perhaps even experiencing putting a team on his back to the playoffs and beyond.
  3. I understand it’s common for desperate teams to push hard and I can respect playing a more defensive game to protect a lead, but is it common to be outshot 40-6 like we were in the third periods vs. Colorado and Vegas? There is sitting back and then there is being utterly dominated. On the other hand, I don’t think it’s common to have three AHL defensemen in the mix trying to protect leads against good teams, either.
  4. Didn't mean to imply that you were. It's all good. I just don't wanna engage in a discussion on what's intuitive or not when it comes to anything Sabres. For crissakes, this is the Sabres and nothing about them being successful is intuitive in the least.
  5. As long as the winning streaks are longer than the losing streaks... We are at four in a row and counting. Be nice to get a little cushion to pad the occasional loss or two. What we can't have is another 8 game losing streak or anything that comes close, obviously.
  6. I understand all that. Intuitive or not, let me enjoy the possibilities of the trend line continuing.
  7. Like I said, I'm looking forward to it. Whether it takes five more consecutive or a little longer, it's gonna happen. As long as we avoid any losing streaks of course.
  8. Liking the divergence of the blue and gray lines and looking forward to the intersection of the blue with the gold.
  9. Yes, in the final three minutes. I was commenting on a couple unDahlin like plays earlier than that. I know exhaustion when I see it and he and Mule should be commended for their sheer will to gut out those last three minutes. Let's move on.
  10. No need to belabor the point. Let's move on. But just to be clear, there is no bigger fan of Dahlin than I am.
  11. Why? He had a poor shift and made a couple weak plays on the puck. And that was before his extended shift at the end. Not saying he had a poor game, just a couple lazy plays in the third.
  12. Well earned. Oopie was key. But these third periods have to be better. Looked like a replay of the Colorado game.
  13. You can't stop Tage, so I guess you'll have to shoot pucks at his ankle.
  14. Before the season, I said Tage would threaten 50 this season and I was told he would be lucky to reach 30 again. I gotta find that thread.
