  1. Minor quibble so let me clarify. By being the first trainer there, he detected the loss of pulse as he was attending Damar and immediately recognized the cardiac event as it related to that loss of pulse. Regardless, it was an incredible display of awareness, training, and skill on the part of Denny Kellington to save that young man’s life.
  2. Mitts I could see, but VO would absolutely worsen the Girgs/Okposo pair. And VO would provide little for Krebs’s development. Like I said weeks ago, no matter where you put Mitts or VO after splitting them up is gonna screw up another line that is working pretty well at the moment.
  3. Can you imagine Damar Hamlin on the stage and hoisting the Lombardi with his teammates? Talk about tears of joy!
  4. Denny Kellington was the Bills trainer who got to him first, immediately recognized the cardiac event, and stsrted administering CPR. He literally saved Damar’s life. Literally.
  5. Inkman has company.
  6. It’s also an insult to turds.
  7. No argument here. Just because Mitts sucks doesn’t mean a couple others don’t suck more.
  8. I honestly don’t think it matters. And given the way DG uses his lines, I don’t think the traditional 1-4 line labels apply anyway.
  9. 😂 That’s just it and as I’ve said previously, I have no expectation of him. None, zip, zero, nada. Because I doubt he will ever be anything different than he is now; an inconsistent player at best. And that inconsistency is the very definition of a flash in the pan.
  10. I give him zero credit for being a versatile player who can fill in for injured players, etc. when we have several players who have offered the same versatility as well. Difference is, when those players go back to their usual roles, they’re effective. Wish I could say the same thing about Casey. These discussions are exactly as I predicted. He has a good game or two and all his fans come out to celebrate and tell us we are all wrong, that Mitt’s analytics show he’s a good player, that he has finally turned the corner and we just don’t understand how valuable he is and can be. So have at it. But I’m gonna wait until he is anything more than the flash in the pan he always is.
  11. Better get two if they make the playoffs.
  12. Z has been in this role the majority of his career. I’d expect Mitts to have figured it out in the same time frame.
  13. Mitts should be better than Z on offense as he has superior offensive skills. But if you’re gonna throw offensive stats out there, can you do the same for the D side of things? Girgs has shown a propensity to limit the opposition on the ice over the years and has settled nicely into that role as he is harder to play against. Mitts? Not so much.
  14. Gee, and all this time I thought it was what I actually observed while watching every game he has played when all along it was me having the wrong expectations and not knowing what kind of player he really is. I’m so sorry, Mitts, that I’ve misunderstood you these last five years.
  15. Agree he is having a great tourney and KA should be interested, but Czechia has one of the most impressive overall D corp I’ve seen in a while at the U20 as well.
  16. I suppose that’s progress because prior to this season, other teams couldn’t even see us moaning and groaning.
  17. Trust me, I don’t base my opinion or expectations of Mitts on his draft position in the least. Indeed, I have zero expectations when it comes to Casey. My opinion is based solely on what I have observed watching him in every game he has played since he came into the league. He is not without skill, has great hands, and gives effort. But after five years, he has shown me nothing in the way of developing poise; of being able to slow it down for a tick to make the better play instead of frenetically trying to force things most of the time. We have already seen several younger players on the team demonstrate that poise. IMO, poise is what separates the average player from the good and the good player from the great. All I ever see from Mitts is glimpses.
  18. If and when we play the Bengals again, someone needs to punch Hayden Hurst hard in the face because it looks like his unsportsmanlike piling on of Taron Johnson at the end of the play is what caused Taron’s head injury and having to leave the game as a result. At least that’s what it looks like to this untrained eye.
  19. He is bad enough that five years into the experiment we are still asking the question. The highest compliment I can give him as a player is that he is JAG, an absolute non- difference maker as a player whether he is on the ice or not. Nice couch though.
  20. Thanks for your insight as well. Very much appreciated.
  21. Thanks for the insight, much appreciated. I just assumed, based on earlier reports that he was unable to breathe on his own, that the intubation included a respirator. Chalk it up to my naïveté that it might be just be an oxygen tube only. Thanks again.
  22. Can @Wyldnwoody44or another medically knowledgeable person shed some light on a question? It was reported that Damar’s vitals had returned to normal, but if he was intubated and placed on a respirator, doesn’t that suggest that at least one of his vitals, his respiration, has not normalized? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Ottawa also on a back to back and third in four. Sabres played a day game, had a shorter flight, and arrived in Ottawa hours before the Senators did. Sabres come in flying high, Senators questioning themselves for blowing a two goal lead. I like our chances with Anderson playing in front of his old home fans.
  24. In reading some commentary on Krebs’s fight, I hope people aren’t losing sight of the big picture. It doesn’t matter if Krebs got his ass kicked or not, doesn’t matter if he landed a punch or not, doesn’t matter if he left the ice bleeding or not. The only thing that matters is he was willing to engage when challenged.
