It’s official MODO is signed sealed and delivered. Plan accordingly.
-
In response to a couple of pm’s, yes, my PayPal address is the same. PM me if you need it.
-
I’d be up for that.
-
So that’s nine plus myself. I will only take money from these nine as I’m not sure if I can come up with any more at this price. I have other friends that sit in same sections as well as a connection or two so if anyone else wants tickets near these I may be able to accommodate them.
-
So now I have TARO MODO DARK JOSIE WYLD WILDCARD and I believe NORTH B has as well but no pm as if yet
-
So far, only Taro and MODO have officially committed.
-
If possible, I’d like everyone who definitely wants a ticket from me to pm me. Already received one payment but I don’t need that till the 15th. For the first time in years I’m getting a lot of other requests, probably because a few friends dropped their own tickets. Thanks for the cooperation.

I understand your concerns but I think they built it based on what they inherited. They knew they could fix the defense fast and they wanted the offense to grow together. Plus, they still have a ton of cap room next year. No doubt, at their core they are old school. But you could say that about Belichek and a slew of other coaches. It comes down to a willingness to learn and an ability to absorb information.

I put little stock in what they say publicly. You give me well read, secure guys and I’m betting on them. McD and Beane surround themselves with smart people, and my opinion is that they are smart enough to be open to anything that helps them win.

I can really understand the skepticism but they really are building something special at One Bill’s Drive. Obviously depends on if Allen can become a force. This team should be as likeable as they come and I think pretty talented and deep to boot.

ERod -- 1 yr, $2MM, after being > $1 million apart in arbitration

Sorry, I wasn’t specifically referring to your post. I sometimes screw they up. -

First, EROD is worth a lot more and I believe this is a contract JBOT will regret. Second, they can only buy out a player making over $3.4 million and on their reserve list as of a particular date. Rest if the details can be listed by others. Good day. -
I think it came up in the “meetup” thread.
-
I got Jeff O’Neil or John Druce going in on Ken Dryden. Don’t know if he ever played hockey but I might be better off going with Bobby Bonilla right after he gets that million dollar check from the Mets. Talk about no pressure.

The Sabre’s confirmed they signed him to contact awarded by arbitration. The interesting thing is that by accepting the arbitration decision the Sabre’s are now able to initiate a buy out of another player when second buy out window opens. -
By August 15th. I know it’s tough for you and others to commit so far in advance so I’ll try and secure a couple extra but it will be tough.
-
Appreciate that. I really hope to make it this year.
-
Yes
-
I believe Taro and North Buffalo have committed as well.
-
Price per tickets this year is $97.50. PM if you need my PayPal address or need my home address if you need to mail payment.
-
As I said before, it doesn’t matter much to me but there is no reason it has to be an either or proposition. The six to eight people that want to spend more for my seats can and anyone else can grab tickets if their choosing.
-
If we intend on doing this again I need game, head count and eventually payment before August 15th.
-
EROD is most comfortable at LW

Here’s one of my favorite topics. Everyone talks about how Cirelli and Point were “developed” by Tampa. Point played 9 games in AHL. Cirelli 51 plus a playoff the year previous. In Buffalo we call that rushed. You know the difference? Point and Cirelli were already good. The only players who don’t make it because they were rushed weren’t good enough to begin with.

I’m not questioning anything specific at this point. Over the course of time I’ve seen too much arbitrary interpretations, conclusions based on results that didn’t seem statistically significant and questionable correlations that I suspect everything I haven’t had time to read. To be honest, I’m not sure I’m up to the idea of doing the research and spending the time to have an intelligent argument at this point. Frankly, I have listened to friends who I have unquestioned respect for suddenly become experts and spout numbers off of reports by authors I know believe that if they flip ten straight tails that the probability is greater then fifty/fifty that the next flip will be heads. Generally I believe that analytics is great for measuring team play, not so much for individual performance and I believe that what mathematicians believe to be statistically significant isn’t necessarily statistically significant in practice.
