  1. After Dec 15th it’s something like $700K cash this year and “only” $4.25M next year. Definitely a cash floor or below cap spending team.
  2. Is the Kings strategy, you can have Toffoli but you have to take Kovalchuk and convince him to come?
  3. Second this.
  4. Yes, trading Peca set this franchise back a few years.
  5. He’s(Seiling) actually a well respected banker in Rochester area and very active in women’s hockey although he was mysteriously fired by PSE. People change and I regret the post and thus am deleting it. By the way, I like the way you seamlessly go from living personality to dead personality.
  6. He made Harvey Weinstein look chilvarous. All sorts of other stories about how he treated wife and kids.
  7. Yes, I did forget about that.
  8. Lorentz had a surprisingly, very good career and Ric Seiling would be a lot more well thought of except he wasn’t Mike Bossy.
  9. Two things I’ll always remember about Korab. 1) Punch acquired him to be a left winger. He thought Tommy Abrahamson(?) was going to come from Sweden and be the next Borje Salming 2) that Russian game. If he played consistently like that, he might have been a top ten guy for me.
  10. Hoping I didn’t come across like a jerk. By the way, last I heard Mrs. Ink was in the shower getting ready. Hope that went well.
  11. I’m sure you read the article which actually said that while he had a surprisingly good game Sunday, he has been lacking this season.
  12. 91 is not a run stuffer. They need Star to be better. Williams is making plays all over the field already that most MLB couldn’t even get to. He will look a lot better when 91 is wreaking havoc and somebody is playing Star better then Star is playing Star.
  13. First, he makes a lot of plays others couldn’t make. Second, he will look a lot better when they have a true run stuffer in front of him.
  14. You have to remember the era. Peca’s stats came in the dead puck era. I think Luce gets the edge but it’s close.
  15. But you continue to diminish what Hawerchuk and Turgeon did while they were here, which was significant. I’m not saying your are wrong in your valuation, I am saying that the argument is much tougher. In addition, somehow Foligno gets a pass on the team’s playoff futility while Turgeon seems to get the blame. I think would be surprised by Turgeon’s playoff numbers. I know they would be surprised if they were able to watch the series his first two years and see how much he controlled play and almost willed them out of the drought,
  16. A lot of the early players were like that. They left home at an early age and there were few rules and less supervision. And the owners loved it. Made it easy to keep them in line before guys like Ted Lindsay and others came along.
  17. Thanks for awakening a WKRP memory when Johnny Fever realized that turning a profit was merely a theoretical concept.
  18. It’s funny because I was thinking overrated
  19. I just rated the guys in your post but I’d give him slight nod over Drury.
  20. Don Luce and Rammer were always joined at the hip and I would rate them close to equal. my order would be Luce Turgeon Hawechuk Drury Vanek Pominville
  21. A couple of points; Edwards won his Vezina when it was awarded to whatever team finished first in goals against so he shared it with Sauve and it was truly a team award. In my opinion, he was a very good goalie who deserves consideration. On top of it, a truly great guy and a terrible personal story. As for Drury, my favorite all time Sabre but he only played here three years. No way he can be considered above guys like Turgeon and Hawerchuk. And what’s more, not a doubt in my mind that he would tell you the same thing as well.
  22. In my opinion, this is a pretty good list save for one name. There is no way Ruff the player belongs. He peaked at 20 goals when people actually scored in the NHL. I don’t think he even belongs in the top 50.
  23. First, I meant batch after the players you mentioned above. Second, it seems there are different standards for everyone. Turgeon and Hawerchuk were great Sabre’s and were here longer then a lot of players they are being put behind.
  24. If Turgeon and Hawerchuk aren’t in next batch, I may have to call for drug texting.
