I really do understand what you are saying. I also understand that after rereading my posts, which I wrote while at work, I can’t even figure out what hell I was trying to say.

Still a moot point. We get it. There may be other reasons for an uptick and epidemiologists need to figure that out. But just as there is no study that proves that, there is no study that says that easing of wearing masks and social distancing isn't the reason (which you said). Therefore we shouldn't use it as a reason not to wear them.

I know what you are saying, but this kind of a take has always bothered me. I think that that is a skill that isn’t valued enough. I’ll take that guy over a skill guy any day. He’s more likely to be better for longer. We’ve all played with many “high skill” guys who were just terrible hockey players.

Not responding to any particular post here. I love how we have to wait on the data for some correlations, but are so confident about others. How do we know that there wouldn't have been even more deaths if the hospital space wasn't freed up during the peak by sending patients back to care homes? Politicking this virus will be our downfall.

Realistically? No. For reasons stated upthread, individualism and anti-intellectualism. It makes sense that the median age is going down. People know that the older you are the worse it can be, so they are doing more to protect themselves. I do think we’ll see a second wave.

Meh. It’s really easy to criticize decisions made to a never before seen pandemic. Cuomo gives a good press conference, but his decisions might not have been the best. I have my doubts that someone else could have done better. Every other governor has the luxury of making their decisions after him.

Just seems fishy to me. If he went in for a colonoscopy, sure, I could see him not being tested (that reminds me, I have to schedule my colonoscopy.) But if was admitted into an ICU for having covid symptoms, I find it unbelievable that he was never tested. Maybe he just didn't know.
