So, I have a couple weddings coming up, one on May 5th and the other sometime in June. I need a new suit. I can't buy off the department store rack. That stuff doesn't fit me and frankly the material quality always seems poor for the price. I wasn't super happy with the last pair of suits I bought from Men's Wearhouse. I didn't like the tailoring process, although the materials were in line with the price. My brother has had good luck with Jos A Bank, but I'm wary of the chain stores. I would still go to one I guess, but it's not my first choice. A local operation would be nice, but I don't know if I can afford a real tailor. I feel like the best I can do on a suit is like $400 and I'd need to really like it. Anyone here have experience with Bureau downtown? Or the New York Store in Lancaster? Or those italian guys, Uomo da Milano, at the Galleria? Some other hidden gem? Should I just kill a guy and take his suit?

Not that I had LA getting past the second round, but a first round sweep by Vegas in their first ever playoff series: I didn't see that coming.

Oh well in that case yeah I'm going lol

*raises hand* I don't like big music festivals
-
It used to be more indie for sure. But now it's popular and that's how things go. It got too big and mainstream. There's probably some other hip festival out there now

Coachella still has plenty of good rock music. Some of my favorite up and coming bands played this year. Nothing can stay punk rock forever. Also Beyonce's performance was great. I watched a decent amount of it. She's incredible.

It's been a good week for brown. I was at Premier on Saturday looking for something different and ended up with a 750 of Southern Tier's first batch Rye Whiskey. Oh yes, you read that right. It's a 2 year and it's very good. Spicy finish the way I like it and I think it's priced right at $34. Definitely worth the price. It may even be under priced. Josie also brought me back a bottle of bourbon from the Belle Meade plantation. This bourbon has a 30% rye bill making it a little different. It's also 90 proof and you can tell. The booze vapors hit you like it's grappa and hangs around through the whole sip. That said, it's also pretty easy to drink. I don't think I would call it sipping whiskey, but it's good. Perhaps a bit overpriced though. Lacking some flavor on the back end. It needs to be cigar weather right now.

Crazy isn't it?

3) Announcing the pick before the draft gives the player too much time to flee the country.

When I was in middle school I remember having an epiphany about the positives of school uniforms. My parents refused to buy me clothes that the popular kids were wearing (Abercrombie, etc) so I always wished we just wore uniforms so no one could make fun of me for my clothes. By the time I got to high school I didn't care anymore, but I do recognize the idea of leveling the playing field when it comes to status stuff like clothing.

Sure, but the excuses are closer to reality that I think we'd like to admit. I don't think will power alone can elevate anyone or anything out of mediocrity. Would I like to have a game changing quarter back? Absolutely. But I think the wise bet says the odds are long. A lot of us could live with acceptable knowing how difficult it is to really strike gold with this stuff.

I'm really enjoying this talent run that Georgia is having as of late. They just can't seem to lose any depth.

Weave said he was built for the playoffs. We're seeing it now. He's having a blast in San Jose. I bet he'll sign a pretty fair deal to stay there long term.

Evander Kane was never this good in Buffalo.

Taylor was tolerable. And for me, that was better than anything we've had in a very long time. I just want someone a little better than tolerable. How about acceptable?

The rout is on

Colorado just buzzing. Nashville completely out of sync.

I said I wouldn't watch it but it actually got good

Just a little I love that save by Andersen

I haven't watched either of the previous two and I won't watch the rest. Bruins Leafs is just a far more interesting matchup.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch

I knew about the Getty story for sure since it's just so damn weird. Then when I saw they were making a show about it with two of my favorite actors I had to check that out. The production quality is very high. I forgot about the movie. I need to check that out too I guess. I wonder if some documents got unsealed? That might have spurred the projects. Also, the soundtrack rules. -
Murray got fired because he had no idea what was going on with the team. There was zero communication going on between him, Bylsma and the players. He certainly knew the rebuild was going to take time, but he decided to completely tune out of the day to day stuff and focus only on the rebuild. He didn't actually want to do the GM work, he just wanted to do what he'd always done before: AGM stuff. Top that off with being a bit of a weirdo and there's just no way he was going to last. On a team in a better situation maybe he'd have been fine. But we needed a Wartime GM and he wasn't it.

Started watching Trust on FX. It's about the Getty kidnapping in the 70's. Two episodes in and I quite like it. Donald Sutherland looks like he's having a lot of fun and Brendan Fraser as a drawlin' Texan security chief is just great. Check it out if you have FX. -
It's almost like you don't want to consider a bunch of moving parts in the evaluation of GMTM.
