I'm coming around on Hutton. I still think that if they give him too much workload he'll falter, but he's playing better than his contract at the moment. I love his stick work. A goalie who can move the puck is hugely important to this team.

The only thing I expect from Everton is that they'll Bills it up. They didn't Bills it, which makes it a very nice win.

It's that Mittelstadt line that is killing me. Casey, though inexperienced, has shown great playmaking ability. Girgensons is incapable of cashing in on anything that Casey will give him. It's a complete waste of Casey's talent.

I would almost rather have Larsson on that line rather than Girgs. And Mittelstadt needs to swap with Berglund.

I'm right there with you on Eichel. I mentioned in the GDT that last night was the first night I've allowed myself to feel a little sour about Jack. I've been patient because I know he is still growing as a player, but I feel like he's been in the league long enough now that I'm reaching the end of that grace period. I need to see him do the kinds of things Bergeron or Giroux do on a nightly basis. It's high time for him to be a complete player.

I think a Mike Peca on the bench would have a much greater effect than a Ted Nolan behind it. I'm coming around to taking a non-neutral stance on Phil, but I'm having trouble not looking to the players as well. Jack specifically. His effort was tragically poor last night for a guy wearing the C now.
