I think the players picked the song that the fans chose during the vote.
And I would be. But maybe that's just me. I tune in with my environment pretty hard.
I'm right there with you on Eichel. I mentioned in the GDT that last night was the first night I've allowed myself to feel a little sour about Jack. I've been patient because I know he is still growing as a player, but I feel like he's been in the league long enough now that I'm reaching the end of that grace period.
I need to see him do the kinds of things Bergeron or Giroux do on a nightly basis. It's high time for him to be a complete player.
I think a Mike Peca on the bench would have a much greater effect than a Ted Nolan behind it.
I'm coming around to taking a non-neutral stance on Phil, but I'm having trouble not looking to the players as well. Jack specifically. His effort was tragically poor last night for a guy wearing the C now.
I was thinking this last night when I saw all of them reaching for pucks when a little body contact was right there to slow the opponent down. They play like it's a no-checking beer league, like it's Da Beauty League.
It's not good enough.
I think you and I saw the same positive things, but for me the glaring omission is Jack. He was largely missing from the game in any positive respect, which at this point should not be the case. I should never walk away from a game thinking that Eichel didn't do his job.
I think this is worth noting. He took a lot of flak for the vets last year and it would be a very telling sign from him if that doesn't continue this year. It would say to me that his expectations are much higher and he's not afraid to put blame on the players.
I was really hoping that by this point in Jack's career he would have developed some semblance of a physical game but it appears that he still lacks the grit.
People who complain about the fans are the worst. The Sabres could just play better and the problem would solve itself.
Am I supposed to only say nice things? Or am I allowed to be frustrated that Jack, for all his talent, is right back to making the same dumb plays?
The problem isn't looks, it's that you don't have time to do traditional work instead of digital.
People love traditional paint on canvas stuff like that girl's colored pencil work.
I wish we were in a position where you had the time to spend on traditional.
There are a ton of mediocre traditional sports artists in the area that you would have no trouble supplanting.
