I do. At least, during the games they are. Maybe before and after games some of them are Ned Braden. But there's not a single player in the league who isn't going to stick tap his teammate for winning a fight during a game. Conscience goes out the window during these situations. Also, if you follow enough ex-NHL players on Twitter you know how mindless many of them really are. Maybe it'll change with the new generations, but guys like Brad May are pretty much feeling the primal rage.

87 is just kinda the bottom end for senior sticks. I wouldn't call it junior either and I bet most people would be surprised at how many NHL players are using light, whippy sticks. A player like Jack aught to be loading his stick in tight spots and quickly. You just can't do that with a 100 flex. I don't care how strong you are.

Do you really think players think about this stuff? That's kinda the whole point. Fighting is a visceral thing for these guys. A fight is like a side-quest in a video game. Beating a side quest brings satisfaction too.

I have a hard time believing Berglund will challenge this. I know that in theory they could waive him without his consent, but I doubt they did. Berglund did this voluntarily.

It's because Berglund agreed to it/wanted it. Most players typically want to get paid their full contract. The Sabres could have waived him without him agreeing to it, but then they'd get themselves in a losing battle with the player's association.

The suspension wasn't permanent. He could have worked it out and come back and kept making his money. He chose not to do that. So yes, he did walk away from the money.

It's crazy to me that Berglund didn't want that money. But I'm also somewhat impressed that he would put the money second to other priorities. I think a lot of players would just stick it out because hey, they're getting paid right?

'It's hard to really discuss this in terms of the trade. We would have been mad if we hadn't gotten a piece like Berglund back. But his play hasn't been that impressive and the contract wasn't good. So this makes the trade ultimately look both bad and good at the same time. Let's just take it for what it is: shedding cap.

Skates are definitely too stiff. I had to stop wearing wax laces because of it. My most recent pair are Ribcors which were designed to be more forgiving than things like Tacks and Supremes, but I still find them quite stiff.

I was feeling this too, but I would never tell people not to boo Yandle. Booing is good. But that first goal where Barkov deflected the Yandle shot amid a chorus of boos was such a "beat em on their ice" moment. Could the Sabres have come back from that? Sure. But then Dahlin got schooled by Dadonov and the subsequent bad luck on the penalty shot took the wheels right off. They regained their composure after the Vatrano goal but it was too late at that point. Just one of those games. I'm over it and I'm sure they are too, but it does suck losing like that.

It's been like this against Florida for like... 10 years. I don't know why I still watch these games. They always suck lol
