  1. Easy to overlook? I don't care if they're playing the Bad News Bears or the Washington Generals, the Sabres should never overlook any opponent (nor should they if they're ever good again).
  2. See if Josh Allan would fly on TBD.
  3. Are there recordings of Phil on the Internet? What was he like? I'm kind of ashamed I know virtually nothing of Bisons history. I was surprised to learn a while back that Rick called road games in the team's final season, 69-70, and thus possibly called a hockey championship for Buffalo. Would love to hear that, if it happened.
  4. Thorny and Taro have been awesome of late. Thorny especially. Ga-damn.
  5. Six. Ask my high school beau Eleanor.
  6. There are egos.
  7. I'll do it. All of those names have been thusly not goodly spelt. Except Crebs appears to be a new incarnation.
  8. @SDShttps://torontosun.com/2014/11/12/referee-bill-mccreary-earned-his-stripes There's a graf on No Goal. Gregson is credited with calling it a goal on the ice. It's reported that McCreary said he had doubts but the supervisor (Lewis) confirmed the goal. Of course people will continue to say the goal wasn't reviewed. Taro has said the only role video replay should have played was to report Hull's skate position to the refs and then the refs should have said no goal.
  9. Lent for Taro. I'm guessing Thorny is busy producing OF content.
  10. Lewis' presser is on YouTube. It was an awful performance as he used possession and control interchangeably.
  11. Many discussions. Maybe SDS can shed some light on what he's after here. After reams of arguing back and forth, and my evolving opinion, on the face of it, it was a simple call once you got to see the memo language. Which, for me, was 2009, thanks to Budd Bailey. "An attacking player maintains control of the puck but skates into the crease before the puck enters the crease and shoots the puck into the net — goal is allowed." Hull never maintained control (propelling the puck with the stick). IMHO any understanding of the call starts with an objective description of exactly what happened.
  12. That's the one I meant to post! I always get my NFL coaches memes mixed up.
  13. If only a thread had laid it all out...
  14. I hope this gets played. Live, ideally.
  15. Are we talking about a giraffe erection here? Is it me?
  16. You, me and MoG, we three kings. I thought something was happening here this year, until it didn't. Yep. I wake up every morning feeling good about myself. Then I have my opening night at home against the Habs moment: I look in the mirror.
  17. How did it go? Sorry for the delayed reply...
  18. We love you.
  19. No, it didn't. Even Erieites know about the kummelick, as you went on to amply demonstrate. And YOU definitely know what I'm talkin' bout.
  20. I wonder who appreciated Bryson months, maybe even a year ago and was then told he was trash? Some of you are way too influenced by a little hot streak of winning. Jacob to be appreciated last crummy March as well.
  21. One more year, no. But to paraphrase Terry, if I had a nickel to my name, I'd bet this offseason's version of Rick deciding his future will be Rick and the Sabres talking about his role in the franchise, which will include him calling a game here and there. (Also, it's worth noting that Jiggs retired years ago from the Isles and surely got a huge sendoff, and they just brought him out of mothballs when the current voice was unavailable. Well, what's gonna happen if Dan gets laryngitis next season and has to miss a couple? You know where Rick's going, top shelf!) To be clear, I liked this post for how it ended. Even I can't get behind the first sentence. lol
