We might have to enter another name into the hall of fame discussion. A certain head coach will move up to 4th all time in wins this season. 4 years of .500 hockey and only Bowman is ahead of him. If he can manage to win just one cup, I’d imagine he’s a slam dunk. And I know those win stats are inflated thanks to the shoot out era, but I don’t think many care.

I'm completely lost. But Jokiharju wins this round. edit: I've tested out a lot of different music with my 1 year old. His biggest reaction at any point was The Trooper.

John Roth COO of the Sabres is no longer with the organization

Terry really needs to stop playing all that Barry White music in every meeting. -
Is it an empty net the other 20% of the time? Not a good sign.

Sabres Announce Owen Power Extension 7 years, 8.35 Million AAV

I don’t really have an issue with the bridge. Sure, the first 4 years now he’ll be making more, but then the next 4 would have wound up being even more expensive. They’re still going to have plenty of space when these two contracts start. -
They’re right next to each other on the number pad😉

And the all time leader among Americans. I’m not so sure Quick ever gets the 16 to tie him. edit: Hellebuyck needs 153. I’d say Miller is in before he is getting close.

Early 60s for my dad. I feel like it’s a coin toss for either my brother or I to get it in our 50s. It’s not exactly scientific, but my grand father in his 70s, then my dad in his 60s… -
We need to talk about Zach Benson making the team this year, 2023

Apologies if it’s already been mentioned. How many 2023 draft picks are set to be in the NHL for game 1? -

Even then, he can be sent back to juniors. It just burns a year off the contract at that point. It’s not ideal but it has happened. It’s obviously not the plan once he plays that 10th game, but it is an option if things aren’t going well. -
I'd suggest to the "I want it now" crowd that they probably shouldn't watch preseason hockey.
-
That's on the people who don't realize it, don't you think?
-
That's exactly what the preseason is for.

Sabres Sign Dahlin to an 8 Year 88 Million Dollar Extension
shrader replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Any trade restrictions are clauses that favor the player. If anyone is giving up something to get that, it would be Dahlin. But anyway, the black Dahlin jersey I bought a couple weeks ago is looking really good right now. -
And it's only a risk for a small number of players. Metsa would have to sign an ELC, so a team could sign him and then immediately stash him in the AHL. A veteran would have to clear waivers immediately to be sent down. So if you're signing that guy, you probably need an NHL roster spot ready for him. We've seen it so many times over the years where another team will claim someone to block a mid-season signing.
-
Yeah, the career screams builder to me. The first item in my google search is this. I didn't listen yet, but that seems pretty telling.
-
The thing that sucks is that the AHL cba isn’t publicly available. Google searches aren’t helping either. I can’t find any documentation to back up either side of the argument here, but I’m also fairly certain that your take take is the correct one.

And let’s face it, one guy making an extra half million is not going to be crippling the cap. -
Ahhh, the older brother of Red Green (I’m not joking). I knew there had to be someone. But wow, a 4 year career got him into the hall. And bonus points for playing in two countries.
-
That’s not the question. Hell, we have Perreault who made the hall of fame and only played here. I’m looking for hall of famers who spent their entire careers with one team that relocated. So Sakic in Quebec/Colorado.
-
Yeah, there’s plenty in #1. I don’t really care about that portion. I only outlined it in that order because I wasn’t sure how best to word it. Sakic has to be the only one, unless there’s some crazy situation from the early NHL days. Maybe Doan sneaks in, but I just don’t see it happening.

Beyond that, I’m willing to take Granato at his word that Bryson has in fact been much better in camp. At the end of the day, we’re complaining about a guy who is going to be in the press box most nights. I still wouldn’t be surprised if Johnson gets off to a good start and winds up shuttling back and forth to Rochester throughout the year.
-
And it also removes a home game from the bills’ schedule. If Jacksonville wants to play over there so badly, they should be losing the home games.
