Tim Murray was a complete disaster for the Buffalo Sabres
shrader replied to Scottysabres's topic in The Aud Club
I posted it over on the bills board last week so I'll paste it over here: If that free agency list doesn't make you throw up, you've got a much stronger stomach than most. -

Take a look at the defensemen Murray added during his tenure. That list is the reason why he is unemployed. -
Everything Sabres Uniform Related - Royal Blue Please!

I randomly found this through google. The Bisons will be wearing Sabre themed jerseys next month. The color choice is interesting. -
Just be careful what you say about bouncyball players while you're over there.?

Reading through this, I was wondering how long it would take someone to mention Mittelstadt (oops, looking back, dudacek actually did). It's one hell of a case of generalization, but I'd say that this 3-4 year window should be the expectation for just about anyone outside of that first wave of 1-2 elite picks each draft.

That's a bit of an odd choice. He wasn't the least bit successful in Carolina. There must have been better options out there.

Sabres Signing Marcus Johansson 2 years 4.5 Million AAV

As crazy as it sounds, I don't think a building gets any louder than a home ice win to take 3-0 series lead. That moment where you know the series is yours and you have a little fun ahead, it does wonders for the attitude. The loudest game I ever saw in person was game 3 against Ottawa in round 1 of 1999. The whole thing just felt special. -
Thanks, now that I'm picturing 3PO closing it, I'm incredibly annoyed. People love Empire, but that movie would have been so much better if Chewie left him on the scrap heap.

Each picture reminds me of just how young NHL draft picks are.

I still don't get that whole idea of "we're done negotiating, so we'll let someone else do it for us". Sure, the player may get a better idea of his actual value after talking to someone else, but it just seems like a good way to stick yourself with a term you don't like all while establishing some bad blood.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch

I'd say theater if you enjoy those movies. In general, the action scenes are so much better on the big screen. The last fight here is a great example of that. -
I can't really throw together a list of 3, so I'll go for 1 at each slot. Sabre: I was always a LaFontaine guy Non-Sabre: Yzerman - I used to get his hockey card in just about every pack when I was a kid, and what youngster doesn't like a name that starts with Y-Z I have a hard time picking a least favorite guy around the league, so instead I'll go with my most hated Sabre: Nate Gerbe

Sabres Trade Alex Nylander to Chicago for D Man Henri Jokiharju

Convincing the others to mutilate the poor bumble? Yukon deserves to suffer for what he has done. Rumor: He may or may not have convinced Cal O'Reily to do the same to Nylander back in Rochester. -

It means that the internet is a wasteland of stupidity. -
What would they learn, to get a job with the big market or else you have no chance whatsoever, short of catching lightning in a bottle for one year?

I just finished spiderman. Gyllenhaal’s voice was bugging me throughout the whole movie. It took me a while to place it and then I finally did. He sounds just like Paul Rudd. -
What jeep? All I see is the awesome nature scenes.

But sometimes you wind up with tasty cookies if you open that door. That's another one that I absolutely love about this whole process. Some of the complainers are the same people who send their daughter around the hood selling girl scout cookies. Selling stuff is bad right until you have to do it yourself. The thing that really kills me though is that I can count on one hand the number of times someone has come to my door selling something over the course of the year. I'm annoyed by the flock of rabid mockingbirds that harass every house on a daily basis, but maybe they're doing some good as well.

I want to come across this scene in real life just once in my life.

But does Ken Holland? They've hit the reset button there and who knows what kind of deals they could make now. High profile GM changes always bring on strange unexpected events. Just look at the comparison of Edmonton Glen Sather to NYR Glen Sather.

I know it's risky since we're talking about cancer, but I can't help it... They have a good grasp of the big C? Paging inkman to the white courtesy phone.

My neighborhood has an unnatural hatred of door-to-door soliciting. I know it can be annoying, but there's nothing forcing you to stay out there and continue to listen to them. Each time one shows up, the whole neighborhood starts to post in the facebook page warning each other and then the same old fight starts up (or so the wife tells me, I abandoned facebook a while ago). Apparently yesterday something escalated to the point of both the resident (who is an a-hole) and the door-to-door guy both threatening to call the police on the other. The resident was physically threatening the guy and then bragged about it on the page. The wife showed me all of it and it was horrifically stupid. And all because a handful of people can't handle a simple two step process: 1. Say no 2. Close door Then there's the even easier process: 1. Don't open door It's not hard, people. You don't want to deal with something? Don't. Me personally? I like to mess with these door-to-door people, who are usually bug treatment companies. They show me a list of people who have signed up, so I go through a long response of "Who? The guy over there? Never heard of him. Wait, the guy on the corner? Don't know him..." My other favorite is when they ask who my current service is through (none of their damn business), I say that I can't remember the specific name. Then I say it's something like RANDOM NAME, and they immediately tell me how that company is lacking. Then I say "wait, no it's OTHER NAME". They then come up with a new reason to trash that company. I like to see how many fake reasons they can create. Then in mid-conversation, just randomly close the door.

I think we'll find out relatively soon whether or not he would make that request of the Finnish team. I don't expect him to make the roster out of training camp. And hopefully he does make that request because he could be a great example of one of those mid-season callups who really helps the team after getting that AHL time under his belt.

I think you may stumbled upon a major conspiracy right now. Have you ever actually seen both of them in the same room at the same time? -
