  1. Don't you just love that moment where he gets the joke?
  2. Initially I read this as him being the director of Marine Land at the age of 23. I wasn't sure if we were actually supposed to be impressed.
  3. The Dahlin hit was an extended forearm, right? I missed that game, so I really haven't seen it much. So at least here he can attempt the defense that he lead with the shoulder. I'm not buying it, but you know he'll try it should the NHL come calling. The other thing mentioned upthread was the upward direction through the hit. Gee, and you wonder why so many people wind up getting hit in the head. That's the garbage that leads to so many head injuries, both in hockey and it football.
  4. I meant to ask this last week. Does Toronto seriously use Holland Oates (that one's for you @WildCard) as a goal song?
  5. Each time I hear the name of that place, it sounds like they should have a sister school that teaches bird law.
  6. I must be way behind on my knowledge of internet abbreviations
  7. I think they’ve reached the point where it won’t start to be reversed until they make a playoff appearance.
  8. All that matters is that he's down so it's time to pile on.
  9. You'd grow a curly mohawk if you could. Don't deny it.
  10. "The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn *****... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it. "
  11. Just a friendly tip: you may not be the best person to accuse someone of overreacting...
  12. I can tell immediately from that title screen that I have absolutely zero interest in watching that video.
  13. Let the guy enjoy his retirement. Yes, it was fun to listen to him, but if he's enjoying his current life, thumbs up to him.
  14. They also never won 2 in a row after the slide started (I know). That's what I need to see right now, but it needs to be more than just 2. Yes, they have taken 6 of the last 8 points with no real losses over 4 games, but there's still no winning streak in there.
  15. Kind of have to throw a misconduct onto that one to keep things under control.
  16. They have to switch goalies in the second, right?
  17. I might not have to switch to Rudolph at 8
  18. This is going to be the first Jersey game all over again.
  19. Someday I want to see a hyper competitive visiting captain refuse to lose a ceremonial opening faceoff. That one might be the closest I’ll ever get.
  20. That's exactly where my mind went. They didn't overlap during their time there, but I can imagine they crossed paths several times.
  21. I knew that arena wasn't designed for hockey, but square corners? Wow, I had no idea it was that bad.
  22. Typically it's a conversation that can't be had beyond opening day.
  23. I'm assuming you downloaded that one ahead of time. If that one was available on the plane, I'm incredibly impressed.
  24. Ahhh crap.
  25. The ordering of the list is curious. It makes it seem like Okposo and Dahlin’s “indefinite” is shorter than Rodrigues’ week-to-week while Sobotka is much longer term. But then Tage listed last, I’m not sure where that fits in.
