  1. It’s a pretty easy work around if by some chance Johansson doesn’t qualify. Signing someone like Hammond, who you plan as an AHL bet, is an easy fix. Johansson is finishing his ELC this year and at this point I think they plan to give him a chance beyond this year. Hopefully he projects out to an NHL backup. If that games played piece isn’t factored in, he’s our exposed goalie. if I’m reading the rules correctly, Hutton can’t be that guy because his deal expires three year of the draft.
  2. Is it "regulation time" or just "regulation"? I guess I never paid much attention, but I don't remember the word time being included.
  3. Thank god we don't have any other super-hyped top draft picks on this roster that we'll have to also be patient with...
  4. Right, and many guys don't know when/how to walk away.
  5. I'm not all that familiar with the expansion rules. Can Jonas Johansson be that exposed guy in the draft if they re-sign him to a two year deal this offseason, or is there a games played requirement?
  6. I just saw a great stat that I'm too lazy to verify. DeBoer is the 5th coach to be fired since the Detroit Red Wings last won a game.
  7. I pray that this nickname never catches on.
  8. Ha, that should look interesting if it actually works.
  9. And Kane.
  10. Ahhhh re-drafts. That has to be one of the most stupid click bait practices you'll ever see.
  11. Are we still doing this?
  12. That and the hour's worth of video it takes to actually get to the penalty shot in that clip.
  13. One of them is Bill wearing a mask. It may be "Steve", it may be the other guy, but one of them was definitely Bill.
  14. Last night proved it. An elite player would never be left alone like that. There's no other possible explanation for that goal.
  15. But how is his body language?
  16. That's still a million times better than just leaving the empty one on there. Shame on you, Dallas.
  17. That Stastney spelling is going to take a lot of getting used to if that kid ever makes it.
  18. Well it's gray right now.
  19. Why does celebration always require the removing of the mouth guard?
  20. @Drunkard, that all assumes that the leagues themselves don't evolve as well over that time. We're talking about experts at making money. They'll find new revenue streams should things change like that, they always do.
  21. Just wait until you hear the expletives fly the first time anyone asks them about "almost winning".
  22. The tv deals aren't with those providers though. They're with the individual channels that you're selecting in that a la carte service. The NFL ticket is really the only one that's tied directly to a specific provider. So that tv money will still be there, even if it's someone else paying the league for the rights. If streaming service X ultimately gets NHL broadcasting rights, they're still paying for it.
  23. The players would be the absolute last ones to be thinking about a so called moral victory. That's a concept that exists solely to let the fans sleep at night.
  24. But both of those games were at home. I'm not so sure I can buy into the concept of a moral victory if it occurs on your own field, when you have those advantages that you're not going to get anywhere else.
