There are things called private messages. Sometimes those are better. And I'm only responding to you since you are the most recent post in this exchange.

Yeah, but they’re not going to reference something that isn’t theirs. Then the real fun begins if Phoenix somehow miraculously gets back into the game.

Eric Staal hired as a special assistant to Kevyn Adams

Brett Hull didn’t do anything wrong. Go ask most sabre fans over the age of 40 what they think about him. This whole thing is completely natural and you’ll find something similar with just about any fanbase out there. -

It's because of the team they beat/injured. That was the one people thought would win it all. It definitely means a lot more to the people who lived there at that time. I wasn't here at that point, but the fans here do definitely hold a grudge against us even still. -
They don't own anything from that organization though, do they? Well, except their entire organizational structure, but don't get me started on that.

I like that mountain mammoth logo.

What, were they not a fan of his trade deadline moves?

So you’re saying that you don’t like a system that is anti-tank but still leaves in a bit of pro-tank protection by only allowing the bottom 10 teams to have a shot at the first pick? It’s a cowardly setup. If you feel the need to create a weighted lottery (which I hate, by the way), have all of the teams involved playing for the same prize.

I guess it doesn’t matter too much, but I feel like Utah should have moved up one less spot since they didn’t win the first draw. I guess they can’t set it up that way because it could lead to a scenario where both winners are supposed to move up to the same spot (15 wins and moves up to 5, 14 then wins and would also go up to 5th).
-
Did Utah jump a full 10 spots by winning the second drawing or did they jump 9? It feels strange that the prize for them would be identical whether they win the first or the second drawing. And actually, this has me wondering about a different scenario. What if it had been reversed, Utah wins the first drawing and the Islanders the second. Does NYI wind up with 1 overall in that scenario?

Ahhh, so that's one specific team winning the big lottery. I didn't think of that possibility.

Where is that 0.2 for 3rd coming from?

Another goalie dump 30-some years down the road like they had a couple years back with Barrasso and Vernon I guess. They had cups though, which unfortunately we all know they put a lot of weight on. Lundqvist did get in that year too without a cup. He had a much better career though. I guess Miller will have to hope that a bunch of new stud goalies show up in the near future.

He does have something now that he never had before, Shesterkin.

The other thing is that the Bills took a committee approach to catching passes last year. Looking at one single game ignores the fact that a different receiver was leading the way each week. The two guys in question were 4th and 6th on the team in total reception yards. So go pick some other game randomly and you’ll be pretty likely to see the other guys leading the way.

But that would offend the league’s gambling overlords. That will never happen.

Weren’t there some metrics last year that showed every offseason addition as being high end speed?

He gained 4 yards by throwing an interception. That’s 3d chess right there. I don’t want to be disrespectful by calling it college radio, but I guess it would have been fine. Edit: Oops, I did call it that. I meant it as an analogy and didn’t realize it was fact.

Enjoy it. These shows will never get old for me.

When I decide to turn on the station, I tend to get there right around 10am. I pretty much never catch the morning show, so I can't really speak to them. Most of the rest is either state run radio or amateur hour. Unfortunately, if you want to hear Buffalo stuff, you really don't have many options. As for the bolded? That's probably my favorite comment of the day.

I wish they’d give the scenario for each top speed. It’s probably the same situation for each one, chasing an icing or something like that.
