I would be more interested in making obiviously intentional icings a 2 minute minor then I am treating shooting the puck outta play like a icing. If the idea is to not punish accidents why not extend the glass higher?

speaking of that... maybe for the first round we should have seperate threads for the matchups? gets a bit confusing when we are discussing 3-4 different ongoing games at once in one thread.

exactly. I love that rule. I remember the time before that rule and coaches would tell their players if your in trouble defensively you best put that puck over the glass your line is running around and giving up scoring chances, you are 90 seconds into a 35 second shift. the puck lands on your stick and an opposing player is charging you down........... ya lets just make shooting the puck outta the rink a defensive faceoff.......

Good players rise to the challenge presented to them. Weber is not a good players. Good leaders not only lead with words but with their actions. Weber is not a good leader. Weber is a easily replaced spare part. At this point in his career he is who he is. And he is at worst an AHL defenseman and at best a spare d that can provide sheltered minutes. On most teams i dont think he cracks 8 or 9th on the depth chart

this BS of a suspension makes it clear that Shanny needs to be removed. I really think the NHL needs to move to a system where former NHL refs are the ones making the decisions and being the face of this. Having a former player and his "sabresspace copyrighted" MFT's is the height of ignorance. NHL refs might not get the calls right all the time but they do have a history of being paid to be impartial.
