not really.I assume you seen where I said something like a board scrum needs things to happen during play for it to come about. regardless of what happens in the game I can guarantee at least 4 faceoffs per game (assuming the game is not cancelled). If you cannot see the enhanced value of a 1 on 1 battle that you get to setup for all I have left is to shake my head in disbelief. If you are simply trying to say that faceoffs should not be seen as a holy grail stat I can agree with you, but you seem to be saying that faceoffs are no more important compared to other 1 on 1 battles and I am sorry but that is very very wrong.

faceoffs count more compared to other 1 on 1 battles because the play is a certainty to happen and you have some control over the 1 on 1 battle. It is not like a board scrum where you need certain things to happen during play to bring about this battle. all you need is a stoppage of play. Get a stoppage of play and you earn a chance to get puck possession and just to help your team out we will let you pick who will do this battle.

Timmy I know we fans had been.......... difficult with you during your career here. I know some of us yelled unkind things in the arena and we wrote unkind things about you. I am sure if I went thru my posts here I would certainly find some of my own. Regardless I hope things are going well for you. I hope you are enjoying life and hopefully without lingering issues from injuries. But if you are having problems please seek out the help you need. Some may still say unkind things about your time as a Sabre. But I won't anymore, I will remember you as someone that gave what he could for my hometown team and suffered for it. Perhaps more than we knew at the time.

the lottery process is stupid. Any system that would allow a team that barely missed the playoffs a shot at selecting first overall is utterly stupid. I accept allowing the bottom 3 or 5 a chance at it to help discourage tanking. But the whole point of the draft picks being ordered the way they are is to allow the weaker teams to improve. Explain how letting a team like the Kings a shot at the first overall selection helps with parity?
