  1. "Exceptional" equating getting another top 5 pick in a loaded 2023 draft. Nobody will have any qualms if they find 3-4 NHLers I each of the next 2 drafts.
  2. Stealing a page from the Calgary Hitmen. More teams should do so. Seems like a lot of fun for a great cause.
  3. The fear is that Adams might believe they need another 2 exceptional drafts.
  4. Against a team that is currently a raging tire fire coached by Mike friggin' (how does he keep getting hired?) Yeo. Consider that.
  5. Sorry, Buffalonill. When Garrapolo got picked at the end of the 1/2, thought you guys had it in the bag.
  6. Anybody still want Bojorques (sp?) back?
  7. Why? Because Granato likes to give Cozens shutdown responsibilities & those 2 are the Sabres best shut down wingers. Also, Okposo can & does still contribute offensively. But, as said in the GDT, would also be interested in seeing Cozens between Skinner & Tuch. If that line were together would flip Cozens and Mitts in the post above. And if Krebs can keep playing like he did today, will have to find a spot for him in that lineup as well.
  8. Who's about to be on a deal paying him even more than Skinner for the next 8 years. Wtf was Holland thinking?
  9. Don't see him fully turning into the Sabres LeClair, but he should see better #'s w/ Buffalo than Vegas as he's going to have a much bigger role here than there.
  10. What's wrong w/ today's kids? Don't he know that ya NEVER take off your skate if you might have a foot or ankle injury? Sheesh, back in da day he'd've just kept it on for 6 weeks & play right through it. 😉
  11. IMHO, 90% of a typical HoFer, not a TRUE "generational" HoFer, but a typical 1 IS in today's game probably is 65-70 points. And that's the likely best case scenario for him. We probably get 80%. But on an evening where the Sabres destroyed a bad Filly squad & wifey made one of her best specialties for dinner, 90% "sounds" possible. 😉
  12. Well, 90% of either would've been very good, but doubt either makes the Hall if they were only 90% of what they were. Think we're getting into one of your & @dudacek's semantics battles.
  13. Meant relative to how they compared to their peers. Obviously scoring 90% of what they did would put him in elite company.
  14. Perhaps. Thought he was excellent the 2 games before the Dallas one. YMMV.
  15. Still see Krebs as more in an Adam Oates mold than a Doug Gilmour one. But if he can be 90% of either, he'll still be a nice little player.
  16. Know that Thompson, Tuch, & Skinner worked well on the PP, but would still prefer to have Cozens between those W's at 5v5. They were together for 15 seconds & got the 1st goal of the night. Let Thompson & Tuch become besties on the PP & PK, but Cozens & those 2 just work (at least they have so far). And if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Was surprised to see that the Phlyers can't get anyone to sponsor their helmets. (Can't believe the Sniders would pass up revenue on principle, so expecting they just can't get any takers.) Nice to finally get a home W again. But, wow, this current incarnation of Filly is REALLY bad. So, all it took for getting Dahlin to play to his potential was getting him named to the ASG? He's been lights out since that announcement.
  17. Yup. They play dull and they lose a lot. So happy THEY get that wonderful combo.
  18. As well they should be. 😉 REALLY going to miss Mike Yeo when he gets canned.
  19. Per Brian Duff, 2008 vs TB. 6 unanswered goals in the 3rd for a 7-4 win. Pominville & Roy Hecht w/a pair each & Vanek w/ a hattie.
  20. This isn't a Hallmark Movie. As feel good a story that might be, and it really is one, it AIN'T happening. Sadly.
  21. In their 2nd 10 game losing streak at the time you posted this. And both in just the 1st 1/2 of the season. It's a shame actually, because if they keep this up Yeo won't be back next year. We LIKE Mike Yeo coaching the Phlyers. 😉
  22. Oh, it is. It definitely is. 😉
  23. Been saying that since he was here at the WJCs. He likes to play physical in front of his own net, he just hasn't had the "man strength" to do so yet. He'll get there.
  24. Yes, the Sabres would've had the original PP resume at the time they'd've determined Krebs was offsides. Fortunately, the view from the main camera made it look like Krebs was still on the line when Thompson got around to bringing the puck into the zone because the blue line cam made it look like he was offsides by ~1/2".
