Per Biron, Levi is planning on turning pro after NE's season.

Memory is a strange thing. Somehow converted her going to William Howard Taft HS to being from Ohio. (Knew there was something about Ohio in her background. And admitted wasn't sure if that wasn't misremembered. D'oh!) Also, really thought she died after that truck accident 15 years ago. Glad she's still alive & kicking.

See it every now & then at Walmart of all places. Pretty cool collection. ALMOST all the original music is included now. The Contest Nobody Could Win is COMPLETELY different than the syndicated version. And the 2 part episodes are run as single episodes. Some really good bits got lost w/ the syndicated versions, so it was cool to get pretty much the original episodes as they originally aired.

Again, she did eventually MOVE to & settle in NS. She wasn't from there.

Don't care if the Rams or Bengals win it all. But STILL don't like the 40 Whiners.

Actually Jan Smithers was IIRC from Ohio. (She was living in CA when she was the cover girl for the Newsweek feature on baby boomers, but thought that wasn't where she grew up. Could definitely be off on that one.) But after Brolin dumped her for Babs (what a friggin' idiot he was) she moved to your NS's neck of the woods. And Bailey was from the Windy City.

Didn't help the Vinc was letting things in that he normally stops in his sleep. Fox scoring from behind the crease early set the tone.

Why wouldn't you be? She was the perfect woman.

What WERE the Yotes thinking? Pretty ballsy to think they already have 32 locked up. Wouldn't be the 1st team to have hubris induce fate to bite them in the bippy.

So, he could sign NEXT off-season, burning 1 year of career earnings while being locked into the Sabres system w/ 1 year left on his 2 year ELC, OR he could stay in college for 1 additional year burning 1 additional year of career earnings while signing as a UFA anywhere on a 1 yr ELC. All of that presuming he really wants to stay in school 1 more year. Either way, at that point he'd effectively start his pro career the year following his last college season on a 1 year ELC. Presuming the Sabres would still be willing to burn that 1 year of ELC for him. (IF Levi & UPL are lights out AND the Sabres are in a playoff race, the circumstances might make getting him into an NHL game that spring problematic. Not saying that's a given, but it IS possible, if not probable.) At that point, staying in school 1 more year (or even going KHL for 1 year if there's nothing left to prove in college) isn't completely out of the question. IMHO the Sabres should make it easy for him to decide to do what Biron says Levi has already decided to do. Because, once he's down to 1 year remaining to become a 1 time UFA, that can become an attractive option to a kid w/ 2 young guys ahead of him in the pecking order. They don't really gain much by waiting another year to sign him as he's considered a 22 YO at present per the CBA.

Bandits were lucky today they were playing the lowly Riptide. Vinc, who came in w/ ~0.870 save "percentage" was around 0.650 and the Bandits gave up a shortie & allowed the 'Tide to go 7-9 on the PP. Trailing 17-14 with ~2:00 to go, they got to 17-15 at 4v4 then got a 5:00 major & a 2:00 minute minor shortly thereafter and ended the game w/ 3 straight PP goals, the last in OT, to win 18-17. Without the parade to the box, they should've won going away, but lucked into eaking out a W against a bad 2nd year team. They are the NLL's only undefeated team & 1 of only 3 with 5 wins.

Interesting. Would need an NHL 0.500 to get there from here. Went w/ 71 before the season started & will stick w/ that.

In no small part because he played like dog doo doo in October.

Next weekends Amerks games will be interesting (& not in a good way) should that come to pass.

My expectation is Anderson is between the pipes tonight. Pretty sure he did a btb earlier this year & he essentially had the night off after the 1st last night. If HE doesn't care how old his is, at this point why should Granato?

Expecting he'll get legit playing time this year but will still be about 5th on the depth chart. Also expecting 1, if not 2, of Sanders, McKenzie, & Beasley won't be back. Know it's not a popular choice, but hoping they get a DT that can stuff the run & tie up 2 blockers in the 1st. It'll free up Rousseau & whomever lines up opposite him & will let Oliver go to another level too. 2nd round, an MLB. Those 2 pieces will improve the CB's & Milano & Edmonds too. Hopefully the O-line can get upgraded via FA & not necessarily w/ expensive guys.

That's the expectation. That, or they get 1 now & the other walks in 2 years. Pretty sure it'll be the former.

Except the reports are that Levi plans to go pro when Northeastern season is done. So, they very well could get both in ~3 months for the stretch. And, if they tell Portillo to stay another year, could definitely see him stay 2 more & walk to wherever he wants to be.

Can't find anything indicating that Dell will be allowed to serve his suspension in the minors. So, not positive that's the case. Remember, Connolly got a 4 game suspension at the end of the '02-'03 season then missed the entire '03-'04 season due to a concussion in the preseason & had to finish serving the suspension after the lockout finally ended. So, Dell's NHL career could be done if he still has to serve 2 games of a suspension before he can dress in the NHL (and he likely does still have to serve the euspension).

Best case is a real live actual current NHL quality goalie is brought in on a 2 (preferred) or 3 year deal w/ at most a modified NTC & 2 of those 3 are playing in Ra-cha-cha next season.

Interesting thought. Especially if they could have somebody younger in mind to be teamed w/ UPL for next season.

Have been saying Tuch & Cozens have chemistry since the 1st game they played together. And Krebs absolutely has chemistry w/ Tuch & seems to have it w/ Mittelstadt too. Would have either of those C's w/ Tuch & Krebs before putting Thompson & Skinner w/ Tuch, but it's not our call. If they're ever healthy (& not injured) would have Tage between Asplund &`Olofsson. Those guys had chemistry too.
