    Ha. I'm lost on this one too. Seems Gus, Larry or Foligno would be better choices skill wise. Or maybe he doesn't want to mess up lines since there were 2 minutes left...idk. Enjoyable game anyways. And having Galchenyuk in fantasy eases the pain.

    Keep us posted D4rk, especially on call quality. I think it's basically t-mobile + sprint towers. I had a beta invite and have been tempted but with 6 devices on my plan (wife, kids, mil) and a relatively new phone I paid outright for, timing isn't great. Added benefit for you is pure android. I'm running 6.0 on a Motox and just chord cut TWC a couple months ago. With the built in casting of 6.0, youtube red and a Tivo bolt, streams bounce from the phone to my TV over the network. It's pretty slick, watched the TSN feed last night, was good.

    100%. Bogosian's crazy is needed on this team. He's a big upgrade from Weber and I think that's his long-term role (4-6). If he gets replaced with Ruhwedel or some other puck-moving modern day skater type I don't think we improve. Give me 2-3 Pysyks, and 1-2 Bogos. Risto is our horse and the exception as a true #1. Agreed re: Girgs.

    That may have been the best game I've seen the Amerks play in the last 5-6 years. All over the puck. GMTM wizardry. Kaleta and D'Amigo on 4th line? We must be better. We are fast for sure. Party deck view courtesy of RGH.

    Yes because both teams suck and both teams are said to have completed their tanks. If playoffs were a factor I would agree, not interested in the comparison much. Nothing NBC can do now of course, but I bet if they knew the game would go down as it did they would have kept it.

    Right. ` Consider the difference in raw talent via draft position. McDavid - 1, Yakupov - 1, Eberle - 22 Larsson - 56, Gionta - 82, Foligno - 104 And as someone on WGR said, who cares!?! We are in 25th place. Play the young stars straight up and entertain the 19,000 people who dropped serious cash to be there to watch two terrible teams. I know that's not realistic but it's a damn good point.

    I thought the same. I went to nhl.com to confirm this am and bounced shortly after empty handed and frustrated. Didn't they used to have shift by shift stats? Watching the replay, it looks like McDavid did put a small move to the middle on him that opened up some space as he entered the zone. Just enough to get a better line towards the net. Impressive. (also just realized McDavid parents were sitting just a few rows in front me, I noticed the fanciness when they took their seats and figured it was some business entertainment last minute stubhub deal type).

    Went to game. Still in disbelief. McDavid v Eichel conversation is done as far as I'm concerned. Completely different level. Sure maybe Sabres are better team in 3 years, and win a cup or two, but McDavid, just wow. I thought Kassian had a good game. He and Bogo were battling for position for an extended time at one point, big fellas. Kane chirping w/ Nurse would have been fun if escalated. Or what if Kane v Kassian? Too much at stake from Sabres side, but would be interesting. McCabe was our best D. Getting after it. Only guy to actually get a hit on McDavid, but mostly he was just on the puck all night. Pysyk assist on O'Reilly goal was also very good. We were like "oh " as he curled around back there but was a real nice play. Bought time, let things unfold, bam, on Reinhart's tape. Instant reply still sucks. Muted a little since they had to review anyways with clock at 0:00, still, that's a goal. Linesman missed it, no impact on creating the chance, hate it. Rex Ryan casually visiting our section to chat with someone pre-game didn't help the experience "oh hey! more suck!". Burnt out.

    Come on. How about some empathy for your fellow fans. We traded away a solid player who was part of an exciting trade representative of the new regime and well liked by teammates and fans. Yeah he's replaceable, but it still sucks. Our beloved hockey team sucks, again. Fifth year in a row, crappy team. We know, many saw it coming.....still....no fun.

    I don't know. Maybe more of just "winning culture" required. This is a suck culture. Yeah I get it. Just so tired of being on this end of it. "When..." When? Really when? Look at Edmonton. Way more examples of perpetual suck/lack of cup than tank---->cup. You got Jeremy and wonder-boy on WGR selling you (us) tank all day long. There's no guarantees. It's just another year of suck. McGinn leaving is cherry on top.

    The Sabres suck. JJ is right. Sure professors saw it coming. Us hopeful fans wished it away. GMTM said expect to win this year. Tired of it.

    So if I'm reading this right, Foligno is now the most tenured Sabre in the line-up with 245 games played in blue/gold. Amazing. Got to be lowest in league. I suppose that's hasn't changed much over this season with Ennis out and Weber often a healthy scratch, still nuts though.

    JJ Garmin is the go to in my circle of racer types. I and most have the Edge 500 but looks like it's been discontinued. I guess the new ones have integrated Strava segment notification (geek out). Key feature of the 500 was the ability to sync with power meters. I don't use it for that though. I use elapsed time, miles, avg speed, and then heart-rate when training in basement. It also has vertical feet, temp, compass, cadence, etc. Oh, just saw your Bryton post. Nice find there.

    Coldplay is good! We got 8/6 in Philly. Taking the entire fam (5). Will be first concert for the younger two, (13 & 11). We'll spend the weekend, Liberty Bell, Rocky, etc. Want to see Foals but out of town that week they are in Roc & Buf. Unimpressed with the festival line-ups I've seen this far (Coachella, Wayhome, etc) seems like an off year. Though a Roc band is playing Coachella, JoyWave (also big Sabres/Amerks fans I guess) so that is cool.
