Updated Todd McLellan OUT of the Running Sabres HC Position
SDS replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Not all that interesting to discuss in a Sabres fan group though. -
People from Buffalo don’t understand this. They pay rock bottom prices for their teams and squeal like hell when the price goes up a few bucks. Lol. There’s no realization of just how little they pay. https://www.statista.com/statistics/193595/average-ticket-price-in-the-nfl-by-team/

If you spin the vinyl backwards the chorus says “it’s fun to smoke marijuana“. Verified myself.

That is about reason number 312.

I’ve been part of a “hockey club” for about 13 years since I started playing in the summer of 2006. We have a team in every division (maybe 8-10?). Well because there are so many players we routinely have to do tryouts twice per year to fill open spots. So we would schedule a club skate and invariably one guy will show up and start hammering and slashing his future teammates into the boards in our friendly, intra-club, mixed skill level pick up. ? He was not asked to come back.

Any fourth line grinders we can select with the seventh overall pick? Maybe someone who got midget checking champion of the year?
-
Solid take.

If fans could fire an owner, would you fire Terry?

I want to shoot myself in the face. -
That would suggest that him and Phil have different philosophies and that he coached what Phil wanted him to coach.

Per Botterill: Sabres have relieved Phil Housley of his Coaching Duties

People are reading way to much into this. One just needs to ask what else is he supposed to say to that dumbass question. Jeff has the final say. To put some arbitrary percentage on an event JB has no control over would be dumber than dumb... just so he can peacock around and appear confident to fans. Any number he would put on it would be unjustifiable and presumptuous. If the question is garbage, then the answer is equally worthless. -
Is this kid any relation to the guy who started Turcotte Stickhandling School that runs camps around North America?

We will await the official announcement. -
I didn’t realize that Jack and Sam were hanging up their skates. Too bad. I figured they had at least another decade.
-
I don’t think that’s an issue. It’s a major part of the year.

Can you two sort out which topic you want to discuss this pick in? With the draft the next big event, maybe it is best to have individual player topics?

If true, this would contradict what they said to the public on locker room cleanout day! NO WAY! -

Yikes. Given that he owns both set of numbers.... What a wack-a-doodle. I predict this will not end well. -
He was never available, so he didn't actually go anywhere.

I would say my time constant for observing certain aspects of play was much shorter than his. I could see trends in 30 days that would take him 6 months, if at all. However, that doesn't mean I don't have my own set of biases that he could call me out on. So, I would say how much information can we ask one person to consume visually, process over time, and what is their lag before their opinion moves? The best we could ever hope for is for a coach's observational capacity to approach what the numbers tell you day by day, minute by minute. I don;'t think there is a scenario where the numbers catch up to the coach's observation.
