Wow. It looks like the streaming version of nhl.tv is going away. If you want to stream Center ice you’ll have to do it as part of an ESPN+ subscription.

I’m not a player so I don’t know what the players care about, but I do know it’s just another thing that the fans care way, way, too much about.

I posed this question years ago. Most people default to the most talented because they’ve you being a captain as someone who goes out and scores the big goal, which invariably requires talent.

I am the chief administrative officer and I am also secretary to all these people. I make coffee daily, but the entitled pricks listed above won’t even drink it. The account name is how people who consider themselves clever make names. They draw upon personal details in their lives, but consider themselves hidden in plain sight. This Southampton stuff is particularly damning. A Sabres employee would not draw upon the personal details of someone else to make an account like that. Those details are personal to someone else, not to them. It would just be Sabrefan12345 or Stanley from Sloan. Could it be a random fan? Maybe. If it was, they are very good. Just enough detail without being too obvious. However, it’s hard to get someone else’s voice just right. People tend to become caricatures of the people they are imitating. Plus, the only purpose for doing this is to try and pretend to be this burner account, with all that really being all that damaging. Someone who has it out for Ralph, but once the damage him with something like this is going to say something very negative about Jeff Skinner, etc. These tweets sound like Ralph’s. I can hear his voice when I read them. Lastly, how likely is it to be his son? He is 34 years old. It’s possible he thought he was clever by using his first name and his mothers last name. However, using his own first name is highly unlikely IMO. Also, he’s a hockey player. I am also skeptical he would care much about Southampton to associate his account with them. I think the fingerprints on this one has all of the markings of Ralph’s account.

The English Premier League is considered “depth”? It’s one of the greatest sports leagues in the world and only 20 teams play in it.

No. Completely coincidental. It was on my Sabres Twitter feed because a reporter mentioned both and this one blew my mind. I probably would not have seen it without Barzal’s.

I didn’t say that. My point was only to add that I have been a vocal critic of strawman arguments for a long time, and it happens all the time when fans are really mad. I don’t think it lends to great discourse either. Not everyone agrees with me. 🤷🏻

I don’t know. I’ve been fighting this battle on here since Darcy. There is always so much to criticize with this really bad team and the criticism is so frequent that a lot of really mad fans go too far and make up things and then criticize the team for what was just made up as if it were true. It’s the typical strawman fallacy. It goes on all the time.

Mainly I was just trying to make a joke with you. 🤷🏻 Joking aside, I’ve been making this point for a while now. Fans want to continue thinking about a traditional NHL philosophy and disregarding that we were put on austerity program and that the club is going to lose $30 million in revenue this year - with another multi million dollar loss of Coach Ralph staring them in the face. I know you know this, but I was just joking about our previous back-and-forth about press conferences. Just trying to keep it light.
