  1. It was his third shift since the hit. I don’t really see people talk about the “right personnel” being on the ice for the Sabres. They are all grouped together. The Bruins player went to the hospital in an ambulance.
  2. My depiction of what happened was accurate. My suggestion of the hypothetical reaction is based upon what I had read here for years. How many shifts did Tom Wilson have in between the hit in the first period and the fight in the second period? Where was every other Boston Bruin prior to the new guy jumping in? I read a lot of things here. I think the observations are valid.
  3. I’m sorry why don’t you go ahead and tell me where I’m wrong. The hit occurred at the end of the first. And the fight did not occur until six minutes into the second period. Why don’t you go ahead and check game center.
  4. Whoa. Wait a minute here. Let’s be clear… Tom Wilson viciously smashed a Bruins head against the glass. No penalty was called and nobody fought anybody after the hit. The player was taken to the hospital. A fight didn’t occur until the next period. Do you know what this board would be like if a Sabre had his head viciously smashed against the boards and no one did not do anything immediately?
  5. So you are angry with the truth and you are angry with generic answers? C’mon.
  6. There’s a baby and a bath water situation here. It doesn’t matter if you yell at players or praise players if they are doing the wrong things. Unfortunately, Ralph’s demeanor is being painted as the bad part here. Anyone who has been in tune with coaching philosophy and this area in the past 10 years knows his approach it’s more or less correct. Yellers and screamers are your father’s coaches. There is a library‘s worth of information on psychology, sports philosophy, maximal performance, etc. to read on the situation. Ultimately, you should have both. Coaches should have a modern coaching philosophy, but it Hass to be covered with actually knowing what the hell you’re doing. The latter part is the issue with Ralph.
  7. Previously I’m not sure any of us really knew. I think now we do.
  8. To be clear, in your mind, when Terry wants information about the team he goes and grabs his transistor radio and tunes into WGR and listens to the post-game broadcast?
  9. Are we now at the point where we glamorize the players here during the tank years? Maybe my memory is faulty, but I don't remember many fond words written about that group here. My memory isn't the greatest though.
  10. See the New York Islanders 1986 to 2000.
  11. I wonder what odds the betting types would out on those goal scoring totals prior to the season?
  12. First, let me say nothing compares to the viciousness of the Buffalo fanbase after they turn on someone. Am I the only one that can look at many decisions of the past and just say, "that didn't work out" (like 1000s or other coaches and GM hires prior) and not go into hyperdrive? I didn't like Dan Bylsma as coach. But was he THAT unreasonable of a choice? Tim Murray? Phil Housley? Objectively, they all failed spectacularly in their ultimate goal. Can it not be more that it didn't work out instead of the thick layer of gross incompetence that gets thrown around when everyone gets spun up?
  13. This was sort of my point in my reply to maybe you yesterday. The depths we went to to get the first overall pick was far and away beyond what other teams had done to acquire talent that is probably better than what we got. But they got similar, if not better players.
  14. Tim Murray was. I think the players did their best. The Baltimore Orioles.
  15. I did in my living room. 🤷🏻
  16. John has always been very accessible to the community. 👍
  17. I would like to know if there’s any real indication how the players felt towards the head coach. The fans seem to have turned on him and we hear public statements from everyone, but I wonder what the team thinks off the record.
  18. As of now, my guess is that it’s all bunk. 🤷🏻
  19. All I remember is the constant 1-upsmansship on the way to the bottom
  20. I like to jingle them in my front left.
  21. The year we competed with Arizona for the bottom took out more than what was normally necessarily. More than teams like Toronto sacrificed.
  22. I do enjoy a rousing episode of Murder, She Wrote.
  23. This is time sensitive. We are going to need a draft by 5pm. Should I just delete mine?
  24. I’m just fighting in front of the net for position. 🥊
