Pegulas New Bills Stadium Proposal a Public and Private Partnership
SDS replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
These questions are so 10 years ago. It’s easy to throw out a hypothetical question without any confounding detail. A lot of people have studied this and the fact that they landed back at Orchard Park is quite telling. -
No, he doesn’t. Hall had leverage because it was either trade him to where he wanted to go or he would go free in a couple months. Jack will go free in four years. If Jack wants to leave Buffalo, he literally has no leverage other than the Sabres willingness to pay his salary.

Hot women consider me a solid 10. Well not so much a 10 as a 1.0.

Pegulas New Bills Stadium Proposal a Public and Private Partnership

I just made a proposal right now that proposes all taxes raised by New York State be diverted to me. That says a lot about the state of America in the year 2021. -
Lol. Wut?

Has it been mentioned what cervical level Jack is having issues at? This makes a difference. Different levels have different ranges of motion. If it’s C7/T1 that has very little motion but it’s also very hard to operate on because the surgeon has poor visibility to that level.

If he worked for the Sabres it would explain so much.

The sooner we give Okposo the Captaincy, the sooner he will be gone.

You have to define what risk is. ADR is performed all the time in Europe. Fusion is the one that’s performed all the time here. each vertebrae segment is designed to provide a certain amount of angular movement. If you fuse two joints together then you can no longer get any angular movement between the two and if you want the same range of motion then you will be stressing the two joints on the outside of the joint you just fused. That leads to those discs wearing out sooner. That can lead to those joints being fused at a later date. Some will say that fusion is actually very risky due to the adjacent disc deterioration that occurs due to the strain of extended range of motion. ADR, although less common, is designed to maintain your freedom of motion thereby sparing the adjacent joints. Many of the manufacturers however have decided to forgo getting FDA approval and just marketing their product in Europe. Many many Americans go to Europe to get this done. what we don’t know is what are the chances this disk is appropriate for the level of physical activity of an NHL hockey player. So, that’s a different risk.

So when Adams says he wants to put the youth in all situations and he doesn’t want otjer players blocking them, is it your opinion that sentiment comes from Adams or do you think that’s informed by Granato? The point being, if we were to accept your assertion as true, it would be reasonable to an conclude that Granato already knows this and that there is now a serious disconnect between the head coach and Adams/Karmonas. There really is no other way to look at this.
-
You are very adamant in your stance about this. How do you reconcile the current situation with Granato then? I’m assuming it would be your opinion that someone of his experience and pedigree would agree with you and disagree with the current situation. Do you the. think his concerns have been voiced and he has been ignored? Is it possible he’s on board?

This is already been discussed in his main thread.

It’s really the only card for the team. On the other hand, Jack can just go ahead and decide his future and getting it done and disregard the teams wishes. (unless there’s an actual penalty beyond a terminated contract). The bottom line is if he is hell-bent on this to continue his career, if I am him, I would just go ahead and get the surgery and cross my fingers I come back with no issues. If it doesn’t work he’s not playing anyway so he doesn’t care beyond losing $50M, but he already has something like $40 million. If it does work then a trade can be more easily be had.

It’s just a quote on this doctors website, so without the supporting detail take it with a grain of salt. However, I think it’s safe to assume that this refers to casual people and not professional players. I would have to think the risk is higher for the latter.

“We have found that this surgical treatment is effective in significantly reducing pain in 90% of cases, resulting in a direct increase in your quality of life. In addition, approximately 70% of patients have been able to make a complete return to playing sports, a rate unheard of for other spinal surgeries.” https://www.institutoclavel.com/en/treatments/adr

He could get the top doctors from Germany and Spain and have a conference. https://www.dr-bertagnoli.com https://www.sana.de/koeln/medizin-pflege/chirurgische-und-konservative-wirbelsaeulenchirurgie/internationale-patienten-adr-germany https://www.institutoclavel.com/en/treatments/adr There are plenty more. The cp-esp is highly regarded artificial disk and the usual choice in Europe, but it’s not even available in the United States. https://onzspine.com/artificial-disc-replacement/ maybe there’s a reason for him going to Colorado, but anything that can be done here can be done over there with more experienced surgeons with a wider array of tools.
-
This is why he is a fool. There are much better devices available in Europe (manufacturers have not bothered to pay to get FDA approval) and they are decades in front of us with regard to these surgeries. He could easily get someone 100x more experienced or more if he went there. He is literally choosing inferior devices inserted by less experienced doctors. He has the resources to choose the absolute best in the world. Fool.
-
Who is his doctor that says he would perform the surgery?
-
You might be missing the point here.
-
I wish someone asked this 15 minutes ago. Lol
-
Can Jack get out of his contract and just get the surgery he wants? Or does he want his cake and eat it too? it seems to me if he’s so confident about his future then he should just do it best for himself and forfeit future money. However, I don’t know what the consequences are.
-
I can’t reconcile the press release saying a surgery is still necessary and Adams entertaining the hypothetical of Jack being in camp.
