    So according to the score sheet, the Sabres had 58 shots on goal of you add the SOG and the 22 blocked. Well that number seems unrealistically high, neither does it suggest we were toyed with due to the perception of diminutive size.

    That was sort of my point. We lost, but did it in a promising way. Many times we would have these winning streak’s where we experienced a lot of puckluck and enjoyed the sugar high which quickly dissipated.

    I feel like this is a game that would’ve excited us in the past if we were Boston because we would have won, only to be told that the style of play wasn’t sustainable.

    Their D also coughed up the puck. Are you talking about coughing up the puck on the crosscheck? I think their stick play is far more instrumental than anything they did physically. Not once all night did I think that they were playing physical with us.

    I didn’t see this coming into play at all. Save for maybe the one hit on Dahlin, I didn’t see physicality as that big of a difference tonight.

    I completely disagree. As was stated over and over, we had a boatload of chances and out chanced them. They buried theirs and we put ours off the post and off the back of Ullmarks leg.

    I’m starting to back away from someone’s previous analytics telling the full story about their play. I think Granato has showed so far that maybe the book isn’t always written correctly on every player.

    It looks tiring to me. Personally, I’d be searching for a keep 4 guys high and one forchecker type of situation.

    So at what point has he made enough money where that is no longer the driving issue and he just cares more about what’s happening in his life? if I’ve already made $50 million at age 24, I’m getting close to being done with this song and dance and ready to move on with my life regardless of losing guaranteed future money. If that’s the only repercussion.
