So he didn’t passively just redirect the puck. His skate had a forward motion, but I don’t know when that becomes a distinct kicking motion. He clearly did more than just turn his skate.

This isn’t necessarily directed at you, but I don’t understand why people don’t think Seattle wasn’t supposed to be a good team. They got to draft a team full of decent NHL players. Seattle and Vegas did not come into the league like expansion teams of years past in the major sports.

In past leagues, I have advocated for a smaller bench so that managers are required to be more active in their rosters and the pool of eligible players is greater. I think it works pretty well with four on the bench.

It hasn’t been as well studied as it should be. There is evidence that you can get really good broadbase immunity from it. However, society isn’t set up to verify and document the situation yet. they’re just starting to do the studies on the various combinations. One such study has said that those who have had it and who also have been vaccinated have this super immunity and is the best of all worlds. However, more needs to be done before that’s written in stone.

Understood. I after I stopped and thought about why we did it… it became weird. Now I just can’t shake how weird it is.

They should take this opportunity to just do away with the silly exercise. It’s OK to question rituals of the past.

Maybe. An alternative scenario would be your suggestion being less dramatic today, before anything even begins, and drawing this out well into the season. Peeling a Band-Aid off certainly hurts less but it takes a lot longer. lastly, there will never be a day when the captain of the buffalo sabres isn’t like one of the top three things hockey fans in Buffalo talk about.

So, I pretty much hate assertions like this. Casting blame on people who don’t control the entire process nor the time dependent variables isn’t right IMO. it’s like your wife picking your summer vacation spot in January and then blaming her when the weather sucks when you get there.

The problem is that after the first round or two it’s almost impossible to keep up with who has been drafted while still picking the person you want. There’s barely enough time to scratch names off any draft sheet you may have. And if your league is drafting people every 20 seconds it makes it way too hard. I don’t think this happened with us last night. I think everyone was there.

I think one minute in between picks is too little. I think a minute and a half would be better.

So my draft grade was a C, they said I did a terrible job, but I was looking at the matchups this week I have the second highest projected score. 🤷🏻

I’m sorry about that. It happens to someone every year. I generated the random order once and that’s what it gave.

Not a single person has mentioned anything to me.

Yahoo gives you a choice. It can be randomized 30 minutes before the game or you can tell them to randomize it now and let people prepare. No one seemed to push back about the order so I did it this morning.
