I knew I would regret this.

To add onto this, I will say that “wanting to be here“ aren’t just words from Adams. I think him and Granato are going to succeed in making the environment relatively attractive for players. I don’t know if the wins will come, but it won’t be a toxic place.

The people who are credible here absolutely don’t want to mention the words “career threatening“. Jack is not going to admit his career may be over and the Sabres sure as hell aren’t going to talk about his career being over. Still, I would give up what either one of our other two players got for the possibility of Jack. I think the reward greatly out ways the risk. I think the risk of it being career threatening is not only real, but it is substantial or at least career threatening in the sense that he becomes a JAG and not the number 2 pick in the draft. We are dealing with someone’s spine here. I encourage everyone who is actually interested in this to read about thesis procedure. You don’t just slip an artificial disk in, sew up the incision and pat him on the ass. The gap between vertebrae should be matched exactly, but the disks themselves only come in certain thicknesses and sizes. They also have teeth in which the bone needs to grow around so that the disk does not move and that process isn’t guaranteed. I think fans are greatly underestimating the risk this procedure holds.

I hate how those commercials turned a real problem into something to be mocked.

Where does this conclusion come from?

No. The big markets want to share less, but they want what is shared by other teams to be more. Including bigger markets for TV and merchandise sales. The Cowboys want others to make the most money for everyone as possible. -

I don't know where you are coming from. Sharing is the exact reason for concern. That want the most shared possible. -

I think the point is that we’re already in the bottom 25% in the NFL. I’ve heard a lot of commentary from a lot of people over a lot of years. Living in Maryland, I can definitely say that the average person in Buffalo does not have a good grasp at the types of prices paid around the league. I have serious doubts about how well the customer base (not the general taxpayer) can support this, including corporate suites. -

The average cost of a general admission seat will be $82.14 in 2021, an increase of $7.68 per game. A club seat will average $253.96 per game, an increase of $10.48. Despite that, the Bills expect that they will remain in the bottom quarter of the 32-team league in average pricing. “We're comparing our 2021 pricing to the other NFL teams’ 2020 pricing, and we're roughly 20% lower than the NFL average, still,” Colleary said. -
I think if you’re not at least getting a poor man’s replacement, then the risk of getting nothing doesn’t really matter. Anything less then one solid replacement-type player would be considered a failure anyway, so might as well hold out as long as you can.

Which is the greater sin? Holding out for the most, but getting the least or just taking something just because it’s better than nothing?

I think the difference is hockey player Jack vs human being Jack. As a human being, hopefully living 80 years or so, I would take the ADR every day. As a person who only gives a rats ass about the hockey player, I would probably suggest the fusion. I don’t think 50 year old jack is going to think kindly of 25 year old Jack getting the fusion surgery when he already has $40 million.
