  1. Past hour
  2. If we can make it a bigger deal that includes Crouse and the 4OA for Peterka, Rosen, this years 2nd rounder, and probably something more, it would be very interesting.
  3. Like what Murray and Terry Pegula did to Pat LaFontaine? That worked out well ...
  4. Too many games, too many teams, not enough true star players to go around, and the season is way too long.
  5. What is truly sad is reading the Fairburn article and finding out that Terry Pegula thought that the signing of the lazy and overrated Taylor Hall would make the Sabres Cup contenders. And Adams agreed. Two completely incompetent people are at the helm.
  6. Way too many games. They could drop 20 games during the regular season . How often do we see a tired team. I get the fact they won't ( $$$$$ ).
  7. I understand it would set the team back, but if he’s refusing to resign with us and we can get the 4th overall? There’s not many better options out there. I doubt Peterka alone could get that deal done anyways.
  8. I agree... its not the olympics but it would be interesting to see some future Olympians live.
  9. Not a bad get I guess... https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-keybank-center-host-2025-rivalry-series-team-usa-team-canada
  10. Why not? The Jarmo Rebuild. Everybody gets a chance to redo the Sabres with some high-level draft choices.
  11. That’s our Peterka deal right there!
  12. We have an advantage over those two teams. I would think that although not a threat, Stars would likely not want to trade him to a Western team like Anaheim. And as far as I can tell, no player wants to go to a Canadian team currently more than a poorly run organization such as ours.
  13. Today
  14. Even bigger issue is that he'd likely not want to sign an extension here, regardless of the money. That's the underlying issue with any top player on the market.
  15. https://puckpedia.com/team/dallas-stars I'm not going to worry much about buffalo's cap because there's a number of players they could potentially move to accomodate. Dallas is losing - Duchene, Benn, Granlund, Dadonov and doesn't have a lot of cap space - excluding the NMC's for Rantanen, Seguin, Heiskanen and Hintz. Adding in the trade protected marchment, and Lindell. They still have a number of people to work with, the biggest being Johnston Robertson or Oettinger. Johnston's a 22 year old center averaging nearly 30-30 over his 3 pro seasons, plays on both PP and PK - we can assume they'll want to hang onto him. Robertson's also expected to be much pricier on the next deal probably close to 12M AAV. They need to lessen the cap burden in 2025, which makes peterka a tough sell as he's expecting to get just about the same number as the 7.75 that Robertson has. Tuch's 4.75 does lessen that, his projected extension is less than 12, an nhl ready prospect, and a pick might get it done to allow them to bring back their captain (Benn). Oettinger has no trade protection this year, and I'd assume they want Levi coming back. Adding this layer probably makes peterka's extension easier for them to work with. Something this big and juicy needs a third team though. If buffalo were to come out with Robertson and Oettinger, they're moving a lot of stuff - probably too many 21-year-old's for one team to want.
  16. Sabres South aka Florida Panthers!
  17. If you don't know about these websites, they may be useful: https://maps.roadtrippers.com/?lng=-75.84431&lat=41.04770&z=5.24519 https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/united-states-map https://www.roadsideamerica.com/map/ny
  18. Might need to take away McLeod's belt and shoelaces and keep him away from sharp objects and windows on upper floors.
  19. Niagara on the lake Canandaigua - stay at the Lake House and catch a concert at CMAC - fantastic
  20. If you've never done a Finger Lakes wine tour complete with overnight stay (at some place nice), you're missing out. NYS is blessed with those lakes, no other scenery/environment quite like it in North America. Would also recommend a day-trip, picnic and walk along the trails at Letchworth.
  21. Unless, of course, they're still EEE and will be operating $6M under the cap again this season, with another $4.4M reserved for Skinner's cap hit. In which case, there's no need to worry about Robertson.
  22. I think if you are able to swing a JJP trade for Robertson (and let's say Byram for a RHD), the likelihood of Tuch re-signing to a good market-value, but not palm-trees-tax-level contract is there. Then, the roster is set up for success. Some money will be tight for the 1st year because of the Skinner hit, but it'd be a real team and a real top 6 and top 4. Goaltending...? Levi is the answer.... ....
  23. Chatauqua/Victor is one of my favorite places
