  1. Past hour
  2. TBH respectable GMs would jump at the opportunity to turn a franchise around. It's just Pegula.
  3. Why is Kevin Adams still GM...to answer the original question? Terry Pegula likes him. Adams lets Pegula 'feel involved and heard' when Pegula wants to be. Adams likely never tells Terry he's wrong. When things go wrong Terry can go hide in Florida and Adams is there to take all questions and defend Terry and tell the media how great Terry is as an owner. Adams is still GM for no other reason than Pegula wants it that way.
  4. Can't have a Librarian that doesn't bow before the emperor. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-administration/trump-abruptly-fires-librarian-congress-rcna205749
  5. Not the higher seed. Laval had the choice of 2,2,1 or 2,3. If 2,2,1 they would start at home. Sometimes it's about conflicts with the arena.
  6. Today
  7. So was Rochester the higher seed? If so, I think I would have picked 2 on the road and then 3 at home. I have to believe I could get a split at Laval and then only need 2 out of 3 at home, no?
  8. I can’t believe an NHL GM could possibly make such a paltry salary.
  9. VO is pretty much in the same roll he was here in the pre Granato days. He was one of the few who floundered under Don. I do think he started to play better defense under Don. No matter what though he was not going to sign back here for 1 million after making 4.7. He got a real nice contract here because we had to get to the cap floor. For whatever reason he never seemed like he was very reliable. even in Vegas he seems to go in and out of the lineup for unknown reasons.
  10. With the last 3 games being in laval, they really need to jump on them during those first two home games. Long break might make that hard to do
  11. If I remember correctly he scored 2 empty net goals in the same game.
  12. Ya, after they didn't cash in on that 5 minute PP I thought Vegas was destined to win this one but no such luck. So yes, maybe Jack got undressed on that play but overall he played a really strong game. There's no denying he's been Vegas' best player.
  13. Love it.
  14. Jack got undressed by McDavid on the game winner wow
  15. Vegas got ripped on that no call. Edmonton with a two game lead going home… might be a sweep.
  16. Well for the right price anybody would take the job. But speaking of that, I have always assumed they all make millions and guys like Ken Holland signed 5 million per year deals publicly but I googled around and there's very little info on this and I couldn't find anything on Kevyn Adams. Matter of fact a few spots suggested Sabres GM makes around 70,000 which just seemed wrong. But could it be as simple as that? That Pegula pays his GMs crap and thus nobody of note does in fact want the job?
  17. Omg what a penalty kill. Can’t believe it. Keeping Edmonton off the board on a five minute power-play is something I thought might be impossible.
  18. Pretty sure he did, and it's not like he's a great player now. He's still a one dimensional offensive guy with limitations but we constantly see good teams able to find roles for these Sabre cast offs and it speaks to the inability of this organization to properly construct rosters. I mean Quinn, this year, was most definitely not an upgrade on VO. He might be later, but not so far.
  19. Just cost his team the game and probably the series. Wow.
  20. 13 day layoff between games?! that's the longest I've ever seen not sure how they'll come out in game 1, in a short series could be a huge disadvantage if it takes them a few periods to get back up to game speed
  21. It just doesn’t make any sense that $1 million or a few million dollars matters more to a billionaire than their reputation. It’s really hard for me to buy that. Sure I know some of them are probably Scrooge McDucks, but dude you absolutely killed it with the Buffalo Bills and you’re basically fielding a playoff hockey team away from being a Buffalo legend. Saving a few bucks is more important? I just can’t get on board with that. I personally think he got a bit lucky with McBeane and has suffered somewhat of a crisis of self belief when it comes to his ability to clock a person accurately in the world of pro sports. Someone else mentioned that he might be paralyzed a bit and staying pat feels better right now. I just think he has no confidence in choosing somebody in the NHL world to right this ship. I really don’t think he doesn’t care about the Sabres, I think it has become a massive embarrassment for him but now he is too discombobulated to figure out how to get out of this mess. It’s honestly insane that Kevyn has gotten another year. But I don’t think it has anything to do with money.
  22. And Olofsson with two. Did he ever score two in one game while on Buffalo?
  23. Its the ex Sabres goal scoring night in the playoffs.
  24. Eichel to Olofsson. Do I need to add anything?
  25. E. Kane still a douchebag.
  26. All he needs to learn while in the Sabres Organization are the following phrases: Yes Terry! Absolutely Mr Pegula! What didn’t I think of that Terry? That’s a great idea Mr Pegula, had we used that in Carolina I would have six rings instead of one!
