The frustrating part... Actually that's a bad statement because there are so many frustrating parts... But for a lot of us we don't ask for a lot. Just a little relevance early in the season. To not feel like you're playing Catch up one week into the season. For the first two months of the season, I don't need them to be battling for first overall in the league. To be leading the division... Just have a positive goal differential and just have more points than games played. Two games into the season and those two things look like monumental tasks already.

This is laughable. Nobody cares about the NHL, let alone the worst franchise in that sport. The Sabres are going to toil away in nothingness for eternity or at least until they leave Buffalo.

This is the 5th coach under this regime. They’ve been the same under all of them. What’s been consistent? The owner, the GM and the players. All of which are culpable in this circumstance.

I did just like millions of other people in this country. Why does the NHL schedule day games on days that the majority of people are working? I don’t care too much as I’m not watching this team this season but it feels kinda dumb to schedule your sporting events when a significant portion of the population is still working. Then again this is the short sighted league when they will take any cash grab (in person attendance) over actual long term promotion of the league.

Touchdown colorado

I think a lot of people are there already. For different reasons. For some it might be that they want that top pick in the draft... Kind of another version of a tank. For others they want changes, massive changes. General manager, coach, the more people have to go the better. And I think there is a third group of people that is growing. People who just want to feel something with this team. If they are truly awful, at least it gives some emotion and something to talk about.

I’m already there

I hate to say that i have already given up on this tire fire.... but i am so numb. I watch and do not even care anymore. Only good thing is that the Avs (My next fav team) is about to go to 3-0-1. Fck the Sabres

Its the NHL. American sports media won’t care enough to even be aware, let alone make a national story of it.

This has been mostly ignored by the national media. My guess is this will be a national storyline shortly and creep into commentary about any losing franchise in any major sport. Look for an SNL skit at some point. Bring back Martin Short as Ed Grimley, put a pair of skates on him, give him a stick, with instructions from the locker room to beat Pegula like a dusty rug.

I don't know if I'm watching the games live until they get better anyway, but I forgot this was an early game and I'm in Boston for work the next couple of days. I'll probably periodically check in on my phone though.

Show some pride, for chrissakes.

Eager to see how Ellie does in net. Would be nice if he was actually a good player for us.

If you asked them to increase their level of compete during and after the 1st Period, they’ve tuned you out Ruff. You should resign.

Might be the biggest third game of the regular season in Sabrehood history.

Pretty soon, we are going to start rooting for losses. What a way to kill any off-season excitement (as little as there was to begin with)

After the 1st period:

Lindy Ruff said that the last game was "Worst level of compete and skating and moving the feet that I’ve seen.” so do the Sabres rebound on home ice or are they too fragile to overcome losing Norris? Zach Benson is still out, haven't won without him. Kesselring is still out. Probably going to get some more Bryson on special teams. Maybe Alex Tuch will finally show up or do something.
